The equilibrium shift if the HCl concentration is increased to the product.

Mg(s) + 2HCl(aq) → MgCl2(aq) + H2(g)

What is effect of concentration on equilibrium?

If the concentration of a substance is changed, then the equilibrium will shift in such a way that it minimise the effect of change which occur. If we increase the concentration of a reactant, then the equilibrium will shift to minimize the changes in the direction of the reaction which uses the reactants, so that the reactant concentration decreases.

Factor affecting concentration of reaction

 • The temperature: As we increasing the temperature, the average speed of the reactant molecules also increases. As many molecules move faster, the large number of molecules moving fast enough to react increases, make the faster formation of products.
 • pressure
 • and concentration of the system are the factors which affect equilibrium.

Thus, we concluded that with increase in the concentration of reactant equilibrium shift forward.

Describe the methods by which an electric potential develops in primary cells and dry cells.
nevsk [136]

Answer:

In a primary cell, two electrodes (one of copper and other of zinc) of metal atoms are used. These electrodes are dipped in an electrolyte solution that causes the metals to produce their respective positive and negative ions.

In this way, the flow of charges takes place and supply the electricity to the source.

Unlike a primary cell, a dry cell contains paste of an electrolyte instead of the solution. The contents of electrolyte paste react with each other through a chemical process and convert the chemical energy into electrical energy.

3Pb2+(aq) + 2Cr(s) → 3Pb(s) + 2Cr3+(aq) What is the number of moles of electrons gained by 3.0 moles of lead ions?
Setler [38]
To determine the electrons gained in this redox reaction, we must balance the charges on the side containing the reduced substance and the side with oxidized substance. In this case, the reduced substance is Pb2+ and the oxidized substance is Cr. In each side, 6 electrons are gained or lose to balance the charges. The answer is 6 electrons.

When water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen, these gases cannot combine again to reform water?
Semenov [28]
This statement is false. When water is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen; these gases are in a position of combining again to reform water. Water is a molecule consisting of one atom of oxygen bound to two hydrogen atoms. The atoms are joined by covalent bonds; however they have addition hydrogen bonds between the partial negative oxygen and the partial positive hydrogen atom.
