If excitatory postsynaptic potentials (EPSPs) are produced nearly simultaneously through two different synapses on the same postsynaptic neuron, the EPSPs can add together to create spatial summation.

Spatial summation is the summation that occurs in the nervous system in which, the action potential on the postsynaptic neuron is generated as a result of many presynaptic neurons' production of subthreshold. As a result, in this instance of simultaneous summation, numerous ESPSs contribute to the production of an action potential.

while, when several subthresholds are produced over time by a single presynaptic neuron, it is referred to as temporal summation in the nervous system. The total of these subthresholds reaches a critical point when it is sufficient to generate or fire an action potential on the postsynaptic neuron. Each subthreshold in this case is produced by the presynaptic neuron's release of neurotransmitters into the synaptic gap.

This finding indicates the damage of the mid-brain
This is evident due to the Decerebrate posturing, which is characterized by abnormal extension in response to painful stimuli, that indicates damage of the midbrain. On the other hand, damage to the diencephalon or cortex, abnormal flexion, occurs when a painful stimulus is applied. While medulla damage results in flaccidity.

Answer:

The correct answer is mast cells.

Explanation:

Mastocyte also is known as a mast cell refers to a migrant cell of connective tissue, which comprises various granules high in heparin and histamine. Mainly it is a kind of granulocyte obtained from the myeloid stem cell, which is a component of the neuroimmune and immune systems. These cells are similar to basophils, however, they are found within the tissues rather than circulating in the blood.

Vines in tropical rain forests must grow toward large trees before being able to grow toward the sun. To reach a large tree, the
djyliett [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is the opposite of the positive phototropism.

Explanation:

The vines in the tropical rain forests in the given case would primarily exhibit the growth pattern opposite in the direction of positive phototropism. The response of the plant towards the source of light is termed as the positive phototropism. On the other hand, the phenomenon that results in the growth of the plant in the reverse direction is termed as negative phototropism.

Thus, in the given case, in order to reach a large tree, the vines in the tropical rain forests would primarily show a growth movement, which would be the opposite of positive phototropism.
