During this process, the magnitude of the electric field between the plates increases. For parallel conducting plates, V and E follow the formula E = V/d. The magnitude of ΔV = VAB. The following formula must be used to shift a charge from plate A with a greater potential to plate B with a lower potential: -ΔV = VA - VB = VAB.

Electric filed = V/d, move closed hence d is decreased and hence electric field will increase.

<h3>What is Electric potential?</h3>

The majority of the time, the electric field has an attribute called electric potential. Whether or whether a charge should be applied to the electric field is independent of reality.  All locations with a distance of r from point charge +q consistently have a comparable potential.

What is the final velocity of a 1400 kg drag racer that’s engine applies 910000 N of Force for 120m
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

<h3><em>468,000,000 m/s</em></h3>

Explanation:

According to newtons first law of motion;

Force = mass * acceleration

F = ma

where a = v-u/t

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

t is the time taken

F = m(v-u/t)

Ft = m(v-u)

Given parameters;

F = 910,000N

t = 120m = 120 *60 = 7200secs

m = 1400kg

u = 0m/s

Required parameter

Final velocity v

Substituting the given parameters into the formula to get v;

Ft = m(v-u)

910,000 * 72000 = 1400(v-0)

910,000 * 72000  = 1400v

v = (910,000 * 72000)/1400

v = 910,000 * 720/14

v = 910,000 * 60

<em>v = 468,000,000 m/s</em>

<em></em>

<em>Hence the final velocity of the drag racer is 468,000,000 m/s</em>

Assume that the operating cost of a certain truck (excluding driver's wages) is 12+x/6 cents per mile when the truck travels at
podryga [215]

Answer:

x = 60 mph

Explanation:

Given that the operating cost is

c = 12 + \frac{x}{6} cents per mile

total miles covered is given as

d = 400 miles

so total cost of drive is given as

C = (12 + \frac{x}{6})(4) $

time taken by the truck to move the distance is given as

t = \frac{400}{x}

So total earnings of the driver is given as

E = \frac{400}{x} \times 6 $

now total profit of the driver is given as

P = \frac{2400}{x} - (48 + \frac{2x}{3}) $

to maximize the profit we have

\frac{dP}{dx} = 0

-\frac{2400}{x^2} + \frac{2}{3} = 0

so we have

x = 60 mph

One kg of air contained in a piston-cylinder assembly undergoes a process from an initial state whereT1=300K,v1=0.8m3/kg, to a f
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

1. Yes, it can occur adiabatically.

2. The work required is: 86.4kJ

Explanation:

1. The internal energy of a gas is just function of its temperature, and the temperature changes between the states, so, the internal energy must change, but how could it be possible without heat transfer? This process may occur adiabatically due to the energy balance:

U_{2}-U_{1}=W

This balance tell us that the internal energy changes may occur due to work that, in this case, si done over the system.

2. An internal energy change of a gas may be calculated as:

du=C_{v}dT

Assuming C_{v} constant,

U_{2}-U_{1}=W=m*C_{v}(T_{2}-T_{1})

W=0.72*1*(420-300)=86.4kJ
