it would be problematic if the esophagus was lined with simple squamous epithelium because it is exposed to dryness or to abrasion as a result of the presence of keratin.

What is Simple squamous epithelium?

This is the type of epithelium which are present in blood vessel and the cells of the lungs such as alveoli etc.

This type of cell is absent in the esophagus because it has the ability to get dried up or abrased as result of food substances which are taken in which may cause different complications in the body.

This is therefore the reason why the stratified squamous epithelium is responsible for the lining of the esophagus.

The mass of a star can be determined by studying _____.
Lilit [14]

Answer:

The mass of a star can be determined by studying binary star systems.

Explanation:

In this system it consists of two stars, revolving round the same bary-centre. The systems having two or may say more than two are called as the multiple star system. This zone is also a habitable zone, here the water exists in the liquid form. We could have sometime seen the two stars together. They are also very capable of strengthening the terrestrial planets inside the stable orbital ranges. They have generally two orbits like P-type as well as circumbinary.

RNA polymerase uses one of the DNA strands (the template strand) as a template to ... and death, because no new RNAs—and thus, no new proteins—can be made. ... During this process, the DNA sequence of a gene is copied into RNA. Before transcription can take place, the DNA double helix must unwind near the gene

kykrilka [37]

Answer:

There are no options in this question but generally a sample of DNA can be increased;

By using Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique.

Explanation:

This question describes the application of making molecular biology to solving a crime problem; a branch called forensics. In this case where an insufficient small amount of DNA sample was recovered from the blood in a crime scene, the polymerase chain reaction technique, commonly known as PCR can be used to increase the DNA sample.

In the 1980's, a molecular technique used to amplify part of a template DNA strand to produce several copies of it, was invented by Kary Mullis and his colleagues. This amplification refers to the numerical increase in the number of DNA sequence.
