All waves in the electromagnetic spectrum travel at the same speed through a vacuum, but differ in their frequency and wavelength. a wave with a long (large) wavelength will have a low frequency.

What is an electromagnetic spectrum ?

The span of electromagnetic radiation's frequencies, as well as the associated photon energies and wavelengths, is called electromagnetic spectrum.

Define frequency and wavelength.

The relationship between speed and wavelength is known as frequency. The ratio of speed to frequency is referred to as the wavelength in contrast. Waves of audible sound have a frequency range of 20 to 20 kHz. The wavelength of visible light, on the other hand, is between 400 and 700 nm.

A box of mass 12 kg is at rest on a flat floor. The coefficient of static friction between the box and floor is 0.42. What is th
vladimir2022 [97]

As we know that friction force on box is given by

F_s = \mu_s N

here we know that

N = mg

here we have

m = 12 kg

\mu_s = 0.42

so now we have

N = 12(9.8) = 117.6 N

now we will have

F_s = 0.42(12)(9.8)

F_s = 49.4 N

so it required minimum 49 N(approx) force to move the block

What does the force of friction between two objects in context depend on?
xenn [34]

The amount of friction depends on the force pushing the surfaces together. If this force increases, the hills and valleys of the surfaces can come into closer contact. The close contact increases the friction between the surfaces.

When current flows through a wire of length L and cross-sectional area A, the resistance in the wire
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

(6) Is proportional to L and inversely proportional to A.

Explanation:

I will explain it mathematically, following formula relates Resistance to length of wire L and cross sectional area A.

R = p\frac{L}{A}

here, p is greek letter 'Rho' is called resistivity of the wire and L is lenght and A is cross sectional area of the wire.

By inspection we can tell that as length increases the resistance of wire increase, so resistance must be directly propoetional to length.

and resistance decrease as cross sectional area A decreases.

So the resistance must be directly proportional to Length of wire and inversly proportional to cross sectional area of wire.

option number (6) fits all of our deductions.
