For part 1 I had to Enter a value for the power source output from 5 to 25 volts. Then review the ammeter and voltmeter. Then re

peat to take a total of 5 measurements. I did that ( the pics below) and now I’m asked What was the resistance of the resistor in Part 1? Include your current-voltage plot with the measured slope in your response.

ANSWER

R = 3 Ω

EXPLANATION

This is a circuit made of a power source and a resistor. To find the resistance on the resistor, we have to use Ohm's Law,

I=\frac{1}{R}\cdot V

If we plot the measures in a current-voltage graph, the slope of that graph is the inverse of the resistance,

The slope of the line of best fit is approximately 1/3, which means that the resistance is 3 Ω.

If we apply Ohm's Law to get the resistance for each pair of measures (V, I), we should obtain a value around 3:

• For (6, 2):

R=\frac{V}{I}=\frac{6}{2}=3

• For (8, 2.7):

R=\frac{8}{2.7}\approx2.96

• For (10, 3.3):

R=\frac{10}{3.3}\approx3.03

• For (12, 4):

R=\frac{12}{4}=3

• For (14, 4.7):

R=\frac{14}{4.7}\approx2.98

Hence, the resistance is 3 Ω.

You use 35 J of energy to move a 7.0 N object. How far did you move it?
Lesechka [4]

The object has  been moved by 5 m

Explanation:

The work done by a force when moving an object (which is equal to the energy used to move the object) is given by

W=Fd cos \theta

where

F is the magnitude of the force

d is the displacement of the object

\theta is the angle between the direction of the force and of the displacement

In this problem, we have

W = 35 J is the work done

F = 7.0 N is the magnitude of the force

\theta=0^{\circ}, assuming the force is applied parallel to the direction of motion of the object

Therefore, we can solve the formula for d to find the displacement of the object:

d=\frac{W}{F cos \theta}=\frac{35}{(7)(cos 0)}=5 m

Two planes approach each other head-on. Each has a speed of and they spot each other when they are initially 10.0 km apart. How
vovangra [49]

Answer:

23.08 seconds

Explanation:

The computation of the time required is shown below

Relative Velocity,V is

= 780 - ( - 780)

= 1560 km/h

As it is moving in inverse or an opposite direction

And, the Distance, D = 10 km

So the time is

t = \frac{D}{V}

= \frac{10}{1560}

= 0.00641 hours

= 0.00641 \times 3600\ seconds

= 23.08 seconds

By dividing the distance from the relative velocity we can get the time and the same is to be taken in the computation part
