Taking an elevator up to the top floor of a building, or taking the stairs up to the top floor of the same building would result in same change in gravitational potential energy.

U = m g h

U = Gravitational potential energy

m = Mass

g = Acceleration due to gravity

h = Height

U ∝ h

ΔU ∝ Δh

For an object only its height from the ground is dependent upon Gravitational potential energy. Since you are reaching the same height no matter walking or taking an elevator, your Gravitational potential energy will remain the same.

Therefore, taking an elevator up to the top floor of a building, or taking the stairs up to the top floor of the same building would result in same change in gravitational potential energy.

If the size of the charge value is tripled for both of twopoint charges maintained at a constant separation, the mutual forcebet
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

a) 9.0

Explanation:

The force between two point charges, obeys Coulomb's Law, which can be written as follows:

F =\frac{k*q1*q2}{(r12)^{2} }

As it  can be seen, if the separation between the charges remains the same, the new value of the force will be directly proportional to the product of the charges.

If both charges are tripled, the mutual force between them will be changed in a factor equal to 3.0*3.0 = 9.0

A 3.2-kg thin, circular hoop with a radius of 5.4 m is rotating about an axis through its center and perpendicular to its plane.
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

Torque = –207.4 Nm

Explanation:

Given M = 3.2kg, r = 5.4m, α = –12rad/s² (it is slowing down)

Torque = I × α

α = angular acceleration

I = moment of inertia

I = MR² for a circular hoop

Torque = 3.2×5.4×(– 12)

Torque = –207.4 Nm

It’s because of refraction! the light bends at an angle and makes the straw look bent/broken. it’s just the way the light hits the glass that makes the straw look like that
