The human body reserves creatinine phosphate as the energy source at the start of 100 yard dash (race).

The creatinine phosphate is converted into ATP, which is the energy package of our body. ATP is body's usable form of energy. Energy is stored in various forms in our body such as fats, carbohydrates and proteins. At a microscopic level, it is stored in molecules like creatinine phosphate. Carbohydrate and fats are the primary source of our body followed by proteins.

Our body uses three different forms of metabolism to convert these molecules in ATPs. These three processes are Phosphagen System, Aerobic Respiration and Glycolic/Anaerobic respiration.

Assume that a cross is made between AaBb and aabb plants and that the offspring occur in the following numbers: 106 AaBb, 48 Aab
Elenna [48]

Answer:

linkage with approximately 33 map units between the two gene loci

Explanation:

If two genes are not linked, number of recombinants and parental offspring will be equal. Here it is clearly visible that recombinants are less than parental offspring hence the genes are linked. Given, the offspring are in following numbers:

AaBb = 106 = Parental

aabb = 94 = Parental

Aabb = 48 = Recombinant

aaBb = 52 = Recombinant

Recombination frequency = (Number of recombinants/ Total progeny) * 100 = (100/300) * 100 = 33.33 %

1% recombination frequency= 1 map unit of distance between the two gene loci. So here the distance between the two gene loci is approximately 33 map units.

Hence, these results are consistent with linkage with approximately 33 map units between the two gene loci

Are the carbons in glucose ultimately used to make additional citric acid cycle intermediates?
Natalka [10]

Are the carbons in glucose ultimately used to make additional Krebs cycle intermediates

  • The answer to the statement above is No, carbon loses 2 molecules of CO2 as the Krebs cycle moves up.

In the citric acid cycle, there are two carbons that belongs to the acetyl group of acetyl CoA. These two carbon are the released as carbon dioxide, one of main end products of cellular respiration via numbers of enzymatic reactions.

Conclusively, we can say that Co2 has 2 molecules shed off as Krebs cycle increases.
