The hydrofluoric acid has greater boiling point than water, ammonia or methane molecules.

What is boiling point?

The temperature at which the pressure of the surroundings upon a liquid is equal to the pressure which is exerted by the vapour of the liquid.

What is Hydrogen bond?

The intermolecular attraction between most electronegative atom and the hydrogen atom is termed as hydrogen bond.

Since greater the electronegativity of atom greater will be the strength of hydrogen bond.

As, F atom has greater electronegativity than O-atom which has further greater electronegativity than N atom and than Carbon atom.

So the strength of hydrogen bond is as follows:

hydrofluoric acid > water molecule > ammonia molecule > methane molecule.

Thus, we concluded that hydrofluoric acid has greater boiling point than water, ammonia or methane molecules.

Draw the structure of the major organic product isolated from the reaction of 1-hexyne with sodium amide in liquid ammonia follo
77julia77 [94]

Answer:check explanation and attached file/picture

Explanation:

Alkynes are hydrocarbons and they are very acidic because of hybridization effect(the more acidic the s-character is, the more acidic it is going to be).

The reaction of 1-hexyne with sodium amide in liquid ammonia is a form of deprotonation 'reaction' to form acetylide. Due to the acidic nature of the terminal hydrogen atom, terminal alkynes do form metallic derivatives by the replacement of the terminal hydrogens. The equation of Reaction is given below.

C6H10 + NaNH2( in liquidNH3) ------------> C6H9Na + H-NH2.

The acetylide is a bae and a very good nucleophile.

The reaction is then followed by the addition of 1-bromobutane. This reaction is used for the production of longer chain alkynes. The equation of Reaction is attached in the picture.

Explain how the colors of the visible light spectrum are organized using the terms wavelength and frequency.
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

Visible light spectrum is a part of electromagnetic waves. The colors of the visible light spectrum are organised on the basis of their wavelength and frequency.

As the light or color having high frequency will have the shorter wavelength and vice versa, so colors in visible light spectrum arranged from highest frequency to lowest frequency or from shortest wavelength to highest wavelength. For example: The highest frequency color is violet and lowest frequency of visible light is red.

A cold object will have_ kinetic energy which means _ faster moving particles
qwelly [4]

Answer: if this is true or false, then this is false, something that is cold has slow moving particles, fast moving ones generate heat which will make it warm, this object has potential energy not kinetic.
