There is no solution for two equations 2x – y = 7 and y = 2x + 3 .

What is an equation?

A statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal (indicated by the sign =).

(6)The Matrix Method .
The solution of two equations
2x – y = 7 and
y = 2x + 3
On solving the two equations by Substitution Method ,we get
2x-(2x+3) =7
⇒2x-2x-3=7
⇒0 -3 =7
⇒-3 =7
But since the numbers are not equal ,so we conclude that
-3≠7
Hence ,as x gets canceled and y value is substituted ,so as a result we get two numbers which are also not equal .
Hence, there is no solution for x and y .
