The practice of assuming that people who have certain physical characteristics are likely to be engaged in illegal activities is referred to as racial profiling.

If you suspect, target, or discriminate against someone because of their race, religion, or nationality rather than based on your own suspicions or the evidence at hand, you are engaging in racial profiling.  Racial profiling entails prejudice against minorities and frequently capitalizes on inaccurate characteristic or stereotype of the intended audience.

Racial profiling in the United States mostly refers to the too thorough searching of visible minorities including South Asians, Middle Easterners, Hispanic and Latino Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans. According to sociologist Robert Staples, racial profiling in the United States is "not only a collection of isolated acts," but rather a widespread pattern that dates back to the time of slavery.

Mark has formed an impression of Juan by watching how he acts toward others during basketball practice and at school. Mark has f
Kryger [21]

Answer:

Mark has formed a dispositional attribution

Explanation:

A dispositional attribution consists in assigning the outcome of an event to internal personality factors.

In this example, Mark has observed that Juan is a good team leader in basketball practice. Instead of thinking that Juan is a good leader because the game requires him to act in such a way (this would be an example of a situational attribution), he considers that Juan is himself a good leader, because he has the personality characteristics of one, regarless of the situation in which he might be involved.
