Answer:

1. $22.8 rounded to the nearest cent.

2. x = \frac{-1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

1.  If we are using a linear model.  We need to know the slope and the y intercept

y = mx + b  The y-intercept would be 15.  The slope would be how much the price of the stock increased over a period of time.  The stock increases $.75 in 4 months or $0.1875 per month.

y = .1875x + 15  If we used this equation we can see that in four months the price of a share would be 15.75.

y = .1875(4) + 15

y = 15.75  Now we will do the same thing, but for 42 months

y = mx + b

y = .1875(42) + 15

y = 22.875 Rounded to the nearest penny would be 22.88

2. 2(4x + 2) - (x -4) = 3(x+2)  Use the distributive property

8x + 4 -x + 4 = 3x + 6  Combine like terms

7x + 8 = 3x + 6  Subtract 3x from both sides

4x + 8 = 6  Subtract 8 from both sides

4x = -2  Divide both sides by 4

x = \frac{-2}{4} = \frac{-1}{2}

2. 2(4x+2) - (x-4) = 3(x+2)

Expand tge expression

= 8x + 4 -x +4 = 3x + 6

CLT ( Combine like terms)

= 7x + 8 = 3x + 6

Rearrange the terms

7x - 3x = 6 - 8

CLT

4x = -2

Divide both sides by 4

x = -2

4

x = -1

Chris sale has won 60% of the games he pitched. If he pitched 35 games how many did he win!
wariber [46]

Answer:

21

Step-by-step explanation:

Find 60% of 35.

To do this you have to multiply 60 by 35, and divide that answer by 100, and your answer should that number. In this case, the answer is 21, because 60x35 is 2100, and 2100/100 is 21.

Answer:

the stock will sell for $59.16

Step-by-step explanation:

P0 =  2 * (1+0.2) / (1+0.105)  +  2 * (1+0.2) * (1+0.12)  /  (1+0.105)^2  +

2*(1+0.2)*(1+0.12)^2 / (1+0.105)^3 +

[(2 * (1+0.2) * (1+0.12)^2 * (1+0.06) / (0.105-0.06))  /  (1+0.105)^3 ]

P0 = $59.16

Glenn rolls a 6-sided die. What is the probability that he gets a number greater than 2 or an odd number?
Marysya12 [62]
Hello!

You can write down what the possible numbers their are

The numbers greater than 2 are 3, 4, 5, and 6

The numbers that are odd are 1, 3, and 5

List all the numbers out in a row

3, 4, 5, 6, 1, 3, 5,

Eliminate one of the numbers that repeat

3, 4, 5, 6, 1

You put the amount of answers of the total amount of outcomes

The answer is 5/6

Hope this helps!
