Some interventions that should  be mentioned in an infant with GER would be 1. consult with the Pediatrician to obtain an antacid for the infant. 2. Placing the infant in a semi-elevated position according to the AAP. This allows the stomach contents to stay down and not come back up through the esophagus. 3. Feeding the infant less food, more often. This allows for the stomach to not be too full at each feeding.

What is a risk of having too little body fat
asambeis [7]
Well... A complicated risk has to do with your metabolism. Under most normal circumstances your body will use glucose and oxygen to make energy. When however you don't have the glucose your body is able to use fat for energy. However if there is to little fat and your body needs energy than you run the risk your body metabolizing your muscles. Of course this is dangerous and quite unpleasant, but an even more dangerous complication is the acid waste that results which can cause acidosis.

3 purposes for educating patients
BaLLatris [955]
I assume were speaking about patients if you were a doctor or someone that practices in the medical field ?
1. so they understand the situation that is going on
2. if your patient isn't aware of there sickness or the problem they have ran into you can thoroughly explain to them so they have a better understanding.
3. lastly educating your patient just gives them an over all sense of reassurance that you know what your talking about and as well know what your doing.
