2+8-x=-24
10-x=-24
Subtract 10 for both side
10-x-10=-24-10
-x=-34
Divide - for both side to get
x=34

Check:
2+8-x=-24
2+8-34=-24
10-34=-24
-24=-24,so x=34 is right. Hope it help!

X = 34
2+8-x=-24
Add 2 + 8: 10-x=-24
Subtract 10 from each side: -x = -34
Change the signs from each side: x = 34

Bonnie earned scores of 90 and 82 on her math tests. what score must she earn on her third test to keep an average of 84 or bett
Julli [10]
I would take 84 times 3 for the three tests which gives you 252. I would then subtract the two test they took which is the 90 and 82 for a total of 172. 252-172 =80. The lowest score would be an 80

Which of the following coordinate points is the point of intersection of these two lines? y - 6x = -4 and y - 2x = 8
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

(x,y)=(3,14)

Step-by-step explanation:

y-6x=-4 , y=-4+6x

y-2x=8, y=8+2x

(y=)-4+6x=8+2x

6x-2x=8+4

4x=12

x=12/4

x=3, then

y=-4+6*3=-4+18=14

(x,y)=(3,14)

45 POINTS PLEASE HELP question 1) Given: f(x) = 3 - x; g(x) = -2x Find g[f(-1)].
andrew11 [14]

1) Given: f(x) = 3 - x; g(x) = -2x Find g[f(-1)].

g(f(x)) = -2(3 - x) = 2x - 6

g(f(-1)) = 2(-1) - 6 = -2 -6 = -8

g(f(-1)) = -8

Looks like the question 2 and 1 are the same

Both find g(f(-1))

- Max can read about 150 words per minute. Unfortunately for Max, he has waited until
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

B) 12 hours

Explanation

Max can read 150 words per minute. 350 words per page divided by 150 is 2.333, so max can read 1 page in around 2 minutes. There are 310 pages. 2.333 * 310 is around 723. 723 minutes converted to hours is 12 hours. Boom. Done.
