Nobody "knows" the answer, but many people know how to find it,
and there's no reason that you shouldn't be one of them.

Right there, on the screen, it gives you the complete formula to use,
and then it gives you all the numbers to write into the formula.
All you need to do is write the numbers they gave you into the
formula that they gave you, and do the arithmetic.  There's isn't
even any Physics here !  Just arithmetic, and you can do it with
your calculator.

The formula is          F  =  k · q₁ · q₂  /  r²

The 'q's are  0.0042  and  -0.005 , and 'r' is  0.003 .

Please !  Don't embarrass both of us.
Write the 'q's and the 'r' into the formula, turn the crank,
and match the answer on your calculator to the choices.

In the diagram below, what is the potential difference across the 3.0-ohm resistor?
Assoli18 [71]

Answer:

3V

Explanation:

From the question given above, we can see clearly that the resistors are arranged in parallel connection. Hence, the same voltage will pass through the resistors i.e

Total voltage = voltage of 3 Ω = voltage of 6 Ω

From the question given above,

The total voltage = 3 V

Therefore,

Voltage of 3 Ω = total voltage

Voltage of 3 Ω = 3V

Thus, option 3 gives the correct answer to the question.

Describe how a unique position of the sun , earth, and moon creates a lunar eclipse
Serggg [28]
A eclipse of the sun can only occur at a new moon when the moon passes between earth and sun. If the moons shadow happens to fall upon earths surface at a time, you'll see some portion of the suns disk covered or aka eclipsed by the moon.. I hope that helps

We can study how galaxies evolve because ______.A) Galaxies are transparent to visible light.B) We are really smart astronomers.
saul85 [17]

We can study how galaxies evolve because the farther away we look, the further back in time we see.

Answer: Option D

<u>Explanation:</u>

As the galaxies are located far away from us and also as per the broad band theory, these galaxies are spreading as the time goes. So as time passes, the galaxies are moving further light years away.

So depending upon the time taken for the light waves to reach Earth from these galaxies will state the time they have evolved. So the farther or more lately the light reaches the earth surface, the further time back we can see its evolution. Thus option d is correct choice.

Ten days after it was launched toward Mars in December 1998, the Mars Climate Orbiter spacecraft (mass 629 kg) was 2.87×106km fr
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

3494444444.44444 J

-87077491.39453 J

Explanation:

M = Mass of Earth = 6.371\times 10^{6}\ kg

G = Gravitational constant = 6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ m³/kgs²

R = Radius of Earth = 6.371\times 10^{6}\ m

h = Altitude = 2.87\times 10^9\ m

m = Mass of satellite = 629 kg

v = Velocity of spacecraft = 1.2\times 10^4\ km/h

The kinetic energy is given by

K=\frac{1}{2}629\times \left(1.2\times 10^4\times \dfrac{1000}{3600}\right)^2\\\Rightarrow K=3494444444.44444\ J

The spacecraft's kinetic energy relative to the earth is 3494444444.44444 J

Potential energy is given by

U=-\dfrac{GMm}{R_e+h}\\\Rightarrow U=-\dfrac{6.67\times 10^{-11}\times 5.97\times 10^{24}\times 629}{2.87\times 10^9+6.371\times 10^{6}}\\\Rightarrow U=-87077491.39453\ J

The potential energy of the earth-spacecraft system is -87077491.39453 J
