Answer:

5 feet

Explanation:

First lets imagine that the values are in meters and kg, to make it easier for me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The force created by the teacher is 120 × 5 = 600N.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The force created by the 50 kg student is 50 × 8 = 400N

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The force that needs to be created by the 40 kg student is 600N - 400N = 200N.

To create that force that student needs to sit 200 ÷ 40 = 5m.

So the 40 lbs student is sitting 5 feet from the fulcrum.

Walking without slipping requires a static friction force between your feet (or footwear) and the floor. As described in this ch
NeX [460]

Answer:

Upward.

Explanation:

Frictional force will prevent you from slipping while walking on the floor. However for the other foot that is moved during a stride, there is a contact force. And the floor is exerting that contact force on the foot in the upward direction while foot exert it on the floor in downward direction when it comes in contact with the floor. That's how we balanced ourselves while walking, running etc. Contact force is also known as the normal force and this force exists wherever the two objects got into contact with other. It's example can be a book on a table, box on the floor, man standing on ground is due to contact force.

Which of the following is an example of electrical energy being converted to chemical energy?
tekilochka [14]

Answer : The correct option is, (B)

Explanation :

Electrical energy : It is defined as the movement of the electrons thought the wire.

Chemical energy : It is a type of energy which is stored in the bonds of a chemical compounds. During the chemical reaction, chemical energy is released in the form of heat.

Sound energy : It is a type of energy which is produced when an object vibrate.

Mechanical energy : It is a type of energy that can be used to do work.

The option A is incorrect because in this process, electrical energy being converted to the sound energy.

The option B is correct because in this process, electrical energy being converted to chemical energy. An oxidation-reduction reaction occurs in the storage battery.

The option C is incorrect because in this process, mechanical energy being converted to mechanical energy.

Hence, the option (B) A storage battery is charged using an electric current is an example of electrical energy being converted to chemical energy.
