I'm in 7th grade and I need help with my math homework
So x is the number
x time 97.3%=36
percent measn parts out of 100 so
97.3%=97.3/100=9.73/10=0.973/1=0.973
x times 0.973=36
divide both sides by 0.973
x=36.9989...
answer is aprox 36.9
The one on the left is 6 (1/2x3x4) and the one on the right is 72 (6x12)
Lets say you have 5 apples, but the you give away 3 of them.
To work how many you have left you take away.
5-3 = 2
Lets apply this with fractions now.
You have 9/7 yard, but then you give away 7/20 yard.
Now you take them away:
9/7 minus 7/20 = 131/140
