A graduated cylinder should be the most appropriate experiment instrument to be used in such set-up. This is because this instrument uses ml or milliliter as its unit of measurement. Graduated cylinders vary in sizes and the tallest of which can contain up to 1L of fluids needed in experiments.

which jar contains a mixture? a jar of solid carbon a jar of carbon dioxide gas a jar of liquid copper a jar of copper and water
marysya [2.9K]
Solid carbon is an element in its solid state, not a mixture.
Carbon-dioxide gas is a compound in its gaseous state, not a mixture.
Liquid copper is an element in its liquid state, not a compound.
Copper will never dissolve in water, so copper in water is a mixture.

For a home sound system, two small speakers are located so that one is 52 cm closer to the listener than the other. For what val
Veseljchak [2.6K]

We want a sound wave with a wavelength of 0.52 meters or a natural fraction thereof. We'll work in MKS.

w = 0.52/n

That's length.  We have speed 344 meters/second so w corresponds to a frequency of

f = 344 / w = n (344/.52)

f = 661.5 n  Hertz

I don't really agree with how they're saying it, but all the fundamental talk is probably trying to tell us n=1,

Answer: 661.5 Hertz

Any multiple of that will also produce constructive interference; we can go to about n=30 before we're out of the audio range.
