A.

Speed of Ice Skater while Skating(u)

                     =\frac{\sqrt{64}}{5}\\\\=\frac{8}{5}\\\\=1.6 \frac{\text{miles}}{\text{Second}}

Speed (to 2 decimal places)  the ice skater skating=1.60 miles per second

B.

Changed Speed of Skater(v) =4 miles per second

→4 > 1.6

Since, number 1.6 is on left of number 4 on the number line.So, 4 is greater than 1.6.

So, Yes , when Skater is Skating at 4 miles per second,  the skater speed is greater than 1.60 miles per second.

Answer:

By 2.4 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Current Speed is given as speed =\frac {\sqrt{64}}{5}

Hence

speed =\frac {8}{5}

speed =1.6 mile \ per \ hour

If the Speed is increased to 4 mph

This speed is greater by

4-1.6=2.4 mile per hour

Please Find the attachment for number line.
