Answer:

Part a) alternate interior angles theorem

Part b) vertical angles theorem

Part c) AA Similarity theorem

Part d) triangle ABC is similar with triangle EDC

Part e) The length side b is 3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a) we know that

The <u><em>Alternate Interior Angles Theorem</em></u> states that, when two parallel lines are cut by a transversal , the resulting alternate interior angles are congruent. Each pair of these angles are inside the parallel lines, and on opposite sides of the transversal.

In this problem

The transversal is the segment BD and the parallel lines are AB and DE

so

m\angle 1=m\angle 4 ----> by alternate interior angles theorem

Part b) we know that

<u><em>Vertical Angles Theorem</em></u> states that vertical angles are congruent. Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross.

In this problem, the two lines that cross are BD and AE

so

m\angle 5=m\angle 6 ----> by vertical angles theorem

Part c) we know that

The <u><em>AA Similarity Theorem</em></u> states: If two angles of one triangle are congruent to two corresponding angles of another triangle, then the triangles are similar

In this problem

triangle ABC is similar with triangle EDC by AA Similarity Theorem

Because

m\angle 1=m\angle 4 ----> by alternate interior angles

m\angle 5=m\angle 6 ----> by vertical angles

Part d) triangle ABC is similar with triangle EDC by AA Similarity Theorem

see the explanation Part c)

Part e) Find the length of side b

we know that

If two triangles are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional and its corresponding angles are congruent

we have that

triangle ABC is similar with triangle EDC

so

Applying proportion

\frac{BC}{DC}=\frac{AC}{EC}

substitute the given values

\frac{2}{DC}=\frac{5}{7.5}

solve for DC

DC=2(7.5)/5=3\ cm

therefore

The length side b is 3 cm

Answer:

It will be complete in 20 miles and it will be 57 miles when it is complete.

Step-by-step explanation:

37 is one less mile than 38 and 38 is two thirds of 57, so the highway is 57 miles when completed. 57 subtracted by 37 equals 20

Respuesta de estas ecuaciones (Los "{ }" y "[ ]" son "( )" simplemente estan asi para poder diferenciarlos A) [-3+(6-8)]-[40+(5.
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

A)\ [-3+ (6-8)] - [40+ (5.3-7) +20.2] = -63.5

B)\ -4 + [- 2.6-1 - (- 3.4)] + (- 5) * (- 3) + (- 10) =0.8

C)\ -22 * \{- 5+ [8.3- (3.6-9)]\} - (- 2) * (3) =-185.4

D)\ -9 - (- 2 + 5) * [- 3 + (- 5) - (+ 2) +1] =18

E)\ 40 * \{- 12 * [4 + (- 6) * (- 5) -15.3 + 12]\} - 2 =-14738

F) -21 * \{- [- 6 * (7-3)] - (7.6-8.3)\} - 89 =-607.7

Step-by-step explanation:

A)\ [-3+ (6-8)] - [40+ (5.3-7) +20.2] =

-22 * \{- 5+ [8.3 + 5.4]\} - (- 2). (3)

Resuelve todas las multiplicaciones y paréntesis.

-22 * 8.7 +6

-191.4 + 6

=-185.4

D)\ -9 - (- 2 + 5) * [- 3 + (- 5) - (+ 2) +1] =

Resuelve todas las expresiones entre paréntesis interiores

-9 - 3 * [- 3 - 5 - 2 +1]

-9-3 * -9

-9 + 27

= 18

E)\ 40 * \{- 12 * [4 + (- 6) * (- 5) -15.3 + 12]\} - 2 =

Resuelve todas las expresiones entre paréntesis interiores

40 * \{- 12 * [4 - 6 * - 5-15,3 + 12]\} - 2

Multiplicar -6 por -5

40 * \{- 12 * [4 + 30-15.3 + 12]\} - 2

Resuelve todas las expresiones en el paréntesis interior

40 *\{- 12 * 30.7\} - 2

Quitar todos los paréntesis

40 * -368.4 - 2

-14736 - 2 \\

=-14738

F) -21 * \{- [- 6 * (7-3)] - (7.6-8.3)\} - 89 =

Resuelve todas las expresiones entre paréntesis interiores

-21 * \{- [- 6 * 4] +0.7\} - 89

Multiplicar -6 por 4

-21 * \{24 +0.7\} - 89

Quitar todos los corchetes

-21 * 24.7 - 89

-518.7 - 89

=-607.7

Encuentra el cociente???<br>
-Dominant- [34]

For this case we must find the quotient of the following expression:

\frac {18x ^ 6 * y ^ 2} {9xy}

We can rewrite the expression as:

\frac {2x ^ 6 * y ^ 2} {x * y} =

By definition of division of powers of the same base, we place the same base and subtract the exponents:

\frac {a ^ m} {a ^ n} = a ^ {m-n}

So:

2x^ {6-1} * y ^ {2-1}\\2 * x ^ 5 * y

Answer:

2x ^ 5 * y
