If you put an imaginary line from the base of the ladder to the wall it would from a right angled triangle. The internal angles of a triangle all add up to 180degrees. With a right angled triangle, we know for sure one angle is going to be 90 degrees. One angle as you said is 31 degrees so you just add 31 and 90 which is equal to 121 then subtract it by that. SO:
180-(31+90)
180-121=59 degrees
or even easier
90-31= 59

6x-y=-23 8x+3y=-9 Substition method (Show it step by step please!)
Tanya [424]

Answer:

solution is (- 3, 5 )

Step-by-step explanation:

given the 2 equations

6x - y = - 23 → (1)

8x + 3y = - 9 → (2)

rearrange (1) expressing y in terms of x

y = 6x + 23 → (3)

Substitute y = 6x + 23 into (2)

8x + 3(6x + 23 ) = - 9

8x + 18x + 69 = - 9

26x + 69 = - 9 ( subtract 69 from both sides )

26x = - 78 ( divide both sides by 26 )

x = - 3

substitute x = - 3 into (3)

y = (6 × - 3 ) + 23 = - 18 + 23 = 5

solution is (- 3, 5 )

Could someone please tell me how to solve this?
brilliants [131]
You would take the CUBED ROOT of 125 instead of the square root, this will help find your answer..
It’s 5, because 5^3 is 125

Which case allows for more than one triangle with the given measures to be constructed?
Anni [7]
<span>A.three sides measuring 9 meters, 5 meters, and 5 meters

--> only one isosceles triangle

B.three sides measuring 6 inches, 3 inches and 9 inches

--> none triangle may be formed because 9 = 3 + 6 and there is a rule (the triangle inequality theorem) that states the length of any side must be less than the sum of the lengths of other two sides.

C.three angles measuring 25°, 25°, and 130°

--> 25 + 25 + 130 = 180 => you can construct many triangles with these angles

D.three angles measuring 55°, 25°, and 125°

--> 55 + 25 + 125 = 205 > 180 => you cannot construct any triangle with theses measures.
