If you put an imaginary line from the base of the ladder to the wall it would from a right angled triangle. The internal angles of a triangle all add up to 180degrees. With a right angled triangle, we know for sure one angle is going to be 90 degrees. One angle as you said is 31 degrees so you just add 31 and 90 which is equal to 121 then subtract it by that. SO:
180-(31+90)
180-121=59 degrees
or even easier
90-31= 59

Write the equation of a circle whose center is at (3,-2) and has a radius of 11.<br>Show your work!
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

(x - 3)^{2} + (y + 2)^{2} = 121

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle has the following format:

(x - x_{0})^{2} + (y - y_{0})^{2} = r^{2}

In which r is the radius and the centre is the point (x_{0}, y_{0})

In this question:

Center at (3,-2), so x_{0} = 3, y_{0} = -2

Radius 11, so r = 11

Then

(x - 3)^{2} + (y - (-2))^{2} = 11^{2}

(x - 3)^{2} + (y + 2)^{2} = 121

A triangle has an area of 35 square inches. the length of one of the sides it 10 inches. what is the length of the perimeter? in
Serggg [28]
The perimeter would be about 34.4 because if you choose the bottom side to be ten, by multiplying 35 by 2 to get 70 you can divide by 10 to get 7. Since you know the height and width, you can use pythagorean theorem, a^2 + b^2 = c^2. Plug in the numbers you have 10^2+7^2=c^2. c^2=149, so if you square root 149 you will get a irrational number but when rounded you get 12.2- so that is one side multiply by 2 and get 24.4- and add 10 to get 34.4
