Thank you to DNA and robotic engineering, we will have created incredibly intelligent humans who are immortal, the Likelihood’s 9/10. It is more likely that direct brain links using electronics will achieve this, but GM will help a lot by increasing longevity - keeping people alive until electronic immortality technology is freely available at reasonable cost. The idea that breakthroughs in the field of genetics, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence will expand human intelligence and allow our species to essentially defeat death is sometimes called the Singularity. It’s just amazing to think about if you do. All the stuff going on.

Borders are still guarded zealously and fought for - via wars when required and when not required in equal measure. I see nations fighting
over water that preciously scarce resource of the future. I see that terrorists still abound - the Osama Bin Laden types still roam the Earth terrorizing countries and peoples with newer weapons and newer methods of instilling terror. I see that the United States is no longer the sole superpower of the world -- the most powerful country on Earth. I see the most powerful countries dominating the world as being China, India, Brazil and Russia in that order. I see that China and India have become the equivalent of the US and the erstwhile Soviet Union - fighting another Cold War between them and competing for resources and influence around the world.

How can a scientist determine if two species are obligate mutualists? The scientist should observe the species in the environmen
lidiya [134]

Answer:

The scientist should observe the species in the environment to determine the types of interactions that the two species have. Then, the scientist should transplant each species alone to a new area and simultaneously transplant both species together to see if the single-species transplants die

Explanation:

When two species are obligate mutualists, both species benefit one another in such a way that one cannot survive without the other. Hence, in order to find out if two species are indeed obligate mutualists, they should be transplanted together away from other species on one side, and also transplanted individually on another side.

If they are obligate mutualists, the individual transplant would find it difficult to survive and should die in no time while the transplant done together should survive. All other factors being kept constant.
