Amount Deducted from Nuno's paycheck weekly for healthcare = $ 10.50

Amount paid by employer for nuno's  premium for health care = 70% of premium

Let amount for weekly  premium = $ x

So, 10.50 + \frac{70 x}{100} = x

x-\frac{70x}{100}=10.50\\\\\frac{30x}{100}=10.50\\\\x=\frac{1050}{30}=$35

Amount charged for a day for the premium = $ 5

As there are 52 weeks + 1 day  in a non leap year.

Total Amount that is Annual premium = 52 × 35+5 =1820+5 = $ 1825

If this is a leap year : 52 weeks + 2 days

Total Annual premium = 1820 +10 = $ 1830

Suppose a college bookstore buys a textbook from a publishing company and then marks up the price they paid for the book 33% and
Pani-rosa [81]
Let the original price of the book be x. If, after a 33% markup on the initial price, the student had to pay 115.00 for it, then we can calculate x as:
(1 + 33%)(x) = 115
1.33x = 115
x = 115/1.33 = 86.47
This means that the bookstore paid $86.47 for the book.

1. Which formula defines the sequence f(1)=2, f(2)= 6, f(3)= 10, f(4)= 14, f(5)= 18?
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

f(n) =4 + f(n-1) \\for\ n>2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

f(1)=2\\ f(2)= 6\\ f(3)= 10\\ f(4)= 14\\ f(5)= 18

Required

Determine the formula

First, we need to solve common difference (d)

d = f(n) - f(n-1)

Take n as 2

d = f(2) - f(2-1)

d = 6 - 2

d = 4

Represent each function as a sum of the previous

f(1) = 2

f(2) = 2 + 4 = f(1) + 4

f(3) = 6 + 4 = f(2) + 4

f(4) = 10 + 4 = f(3) + 4

f(5) = 14 + 4 = f(4) + 4

Represent the function as f(n)

f(n) =f(n-1) + 4

Reorder

f(n) =4 + f(n-1) \\for\ n>2
