To find the other system, since we know already that x = 3 and y = 9, we just have to input the value of x and y in each of the equations and see if they work.

4x + 6y = 64

4 (3) + 6(9) = 64

12 + 54 = 64
66 = 64

That doesn't work, so we move on.

2x + y = 36

2 (3) + 9 = 36

6 + 9 = 36

15 = 36

Once again, we move on.

4x + y = 21

4 (3) + 9 = 21

12 + 9 = 21

21 = 21

Since we're only looking for one answer, we have found it, meaning that the answer to this question is 4x + y = 21.

Tresset [83]

Answer:

Part A) The graph in the attached figure

Part B) see the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A) Graph the function

we have the quadratic function

y=3x^2-12x-36

This is a vertical parabola open upward

The vertex is a minimum

using a graphing tool

The graph in the attached figure

Part B) What are the values of a, b and c?

we know that

The values of a and b represent the x-intercepts of the quadratic equation

The x-intercepts are

(-2,0) and (6,0)

so

a=-2\\b=6

Find the value of c

we know that

The x-coordinate of the vertex in a vertical parabola is equal to the midpoint of the roots

so

The value of c is equal to

c=\frac{a+b}{2}

substitute the given values

c=\frac{-2+6}{2}=2

see the attached figure

IRINA_888 [86]

Answer:

mBC = 96°

mB = 55°

mC = 77°

mAB = 154°

Step-by-step explanation:

The angle mB inscribes the arc mAC, so we have:

mB = mAC / 2

mB = 110 / 2 = 55\°

The sum of internal angles of a triangle is 180°, so in the triangle ABC we have:

mA + mB + mC = 180

48 + 55 + mC = 180

mC = 180 - 48 - 55

mC = 77\°

Using again the property of inscribed angles, we have:

mAB = 2*mC = 154\°

mBC = 2*mA = 96\°
