Hey there!

First, reorder the terms:
-.03+1.3n= -9
Then move the terms that contain an "n" to the left, and all with no variables to the right
Add -.03 to each side
-.03+-.03+1.3n= -9+.03
Combine the like terms
0.00 + 1.3n = -9 + 0.03 1.3n = -9 + 0.03 <span> -9 + 0.03 = -8.97 1.3n = -8.97
Then divide each side by 1.3 and you will get
n= -6.9

Hope this helps! :)

1.3n-0.03 = -9

add 0.03 to each side

1.3n = -8.97

divide both sides by 1.3

n = -8.97 / 1.3

n= -6.9

andreev551 [17]
The THIRD statement is not true.
$2000 (spends a month)
The 5% of $2000 is only $100 for food.

The first statement is true "The household spend $260 per month on the car".
13 % of $2000 = $260

The second statement is true "The household spend $600 per month for rent".
30% of $2000 = $600

The fourth statement is also true "The household spend $200 in savings each month"
10% of $2000 = $200

The perimeter, P, of a rectangle is the sum of twice the length and twice the width.
LekaFEV [45]
The answer is P = 2(l+w) units.

This is because when you let the perimeter of the rectangle be P, the length of the rectangle be l and the width of the rectangle be w.

The information above can be expressed as the following equation,
P = 2l + 2w

You can then factorise out the common factor, 2.
P = 2(l+w)

Thus, the answer is P = 2(l+w) units.
