The answer is <span>A. 142.

After a profound research, I found out that the wheel numbers are:
25, 80, 60, 20, 100, 500, 150, 200.

To calculate h</span><span>ow many cans of turtle wax can the game show expect to give out per player in the long run, we need to calculate the mean of the numbers on the wheel:
</span>x= \frac{25+80+60+20+100+500+150+200}{8} = \frac{1,135}{8}= 141.875
<span>
</span>⇒ <span>x </span>≈ 142

romanna [79]
Expand

simplify 36 - 4.5x + 36 to -4.5x + 72

simplify 102 - 7.5x - 60 to -7.5x + 42

add 7.5x to both sides

simplify -4.5x + 72 + 7.5x to 3x + 72

subtract 72 from both sides

simplify 42 - 72 to -30

divide both sides by 3

simplify 30/3 to 10

Answer: x = -10

Given fx) = 17- x2, what is the average rate of change in f(x) over the interval [1, 5]?
Andrei [34K]

Let [a, b] = the interval

The average rate of change can be found by using [f(b) - f(a)]/(b - a).

Let a = 1 and b = 5.

Let R = rate of change

17- x^2

R = [17 - 5^2] - [17 - 1^2]/(5 - 1)

R = [17 - 25] -[17 - 1]/4

R = [(-8) - (16)]/4

R = (-24)/4

R = -6

Done.

Solve for x. 5 x − 19 ≤ 1 OR − 4 x + 3 &lt; − 6
k0ka [10]

5x - 19 \leqslant 1

change

\leqslant  \: to \:  =

given you

5x - 19 = 1

making x the subject by transferring the -19 to the right hand side of the equation

5x = 19 + 1

5x = 20

dividing through by 5

\frac{5x}{5}  =  \frac{20}{5}

x = 4

{{x:x  \leqslant 4}}

also given

- 4x + 3 < -  6

change the operation sign to =

- 4x + 3 =  - 6

- 4x =  - 6 - 3

- 4x =  - 9

dividing through by -4

\frac{ - 4x}{ - 4}  =  \frac{ - 9}{ - 4}

x =  \frac{9}{4}

so the truth set is

{x:x>9/4}.

The < sign changes to > because we divided by a negative number when solving for x
