Given that the maximum speed the cheetah can run is 70 mph, then:
distance traveled will be:
distance=speed×time
speed= 70 mph
=(70)/(60)=7/6 mile per minute
time=t min
distance=7/6t miles

b] Given that t=10, then the distance covered in 10 minutes will be:
distance=7/6(10)=11 2/3 miles

c] The cheetah's average round trip will be given by:
average rate=(70+40)/2=110/2=55 mph
The average rate can be said to be 55 mph.

Answer:

Step 1

a. 70 miles/ 1 hour | 1 hour / 60 minutes     |   70/ 60 = 1.67

b. 1.67 x 10 = 16.7

Step 2

a. In the first eight minutes it would go 13.36.

r x t = d

1.67 miles per minute  x 8 minutes = 13.36 miles

b. In the next eight minutes it would go 5.36 miles.

r x t = d

.67 miles per minute x 8 minutes = 5.36 miles

c. It traveled 8 miles farther.

13.36 - 5.36

d. It would be 1.75 times faster.

70 / 60 = 9. 3

40/ 60 = 5.33

5.33 x 1.75 = 9.3

e. It travels twice as much distances in half the time.

Step 3

a.        to the river

     D            R             T

10 miles |40mph |.25hours

10 miles |70mph| .14hours

        from the river

b. 40 mph x .25 = 70 mph x .14

c. They both equal ten

a. 51.28

2 x 10 / (10 / 40) + (10/70)  = 51.28

b. Yes because they both equal 51.28.

c. (They both have a common denominator and it’s written as one fraction. )

(Multiplying 2d by the reciprocal of the denominator. Multiply across the fractions.)

(Factoring out d in the denominator and then cancelling out d. )

d. 56 = 2 = 50.90

Find the equation of the line that passes through the given points. (1, 4.5) and (3, 6)
Zanzabum

Answer:

y=0.75x+3.75

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope is

\frac{6 - 4.5}{3 - 1}  =   \frac{3}{4}

Substituting into point-slope form,

y - 6 = 0.75(x - 3)

y - 6 = 0.75x - 2.25

y = 0.75x + 3.75

Consider event A and event B. What is the probability that event B occurs, given that event A has already occurred?
sashaice [31]
P(B|A) = P(B), based on your description, it does not indicate any relationship between A and B, so P(B) is irrelevant with P(A)
