Firstly, we will draw figure

now, we will draw a altitude from B to DC that divides trapezium into rectangle and right triangle

because of opposite sides of rectangle ABMD are congruent

so,

DM=AB=9

CM=CD-DM

CM=18-9

CM=9

now, we can find BM by using Pythagoras theorem

BM=\sqrt{BC^2-CM^2}

now, we can plug values

we get

BM=\sqrt{15^2-9^2}

BM=12

now, we can find area of trapezium

A=\frac{1}{2} (AB+CD)*(BM)

now, we can plug values

and we get

A=\frac{1}{2} (9+18)*(12)

A=162cm^2

so, area of of the trapezoid is 162cm^2..........Answer

FIND THE AREA OF THE RHOMBUS!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

64 in² (Answer B)

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that this rhombus is made up of a large upper triangle and a large lower triangle.  Each of these two triangles has base 2(8 in) (or 16 in) and height 4 in.

The area-of-a-triangle formula is

A = (1/2)(base)(height), which here is

A = (1/2)(16 in)(4 in) = 32 in².

Now double that, because we have an upper triangle of area 32 in² and a lower triangle of the same area 32 in².  So the total area of the rhombus is 64 in²

timofeeve [1]

Answer:

\Large  \boxed{x_1=\frac{9+\sqrt{51} }{3}  \ \  ;  \ \ x_2=\frac{9-\sqrt{51} }{3} }

Step-by-step explanation:

\displaystyle \Large \boldsymbol{} 3x(x+6)=-10  \\\\3x^2+18x=-10 \\\\3x^2+18x+10=0 \\\\D=324-120=204 \\\\ x_{1;2}=\frac{18\pm2\sqrt{51} }{6} =\frac{9\pm\sqrt{51} }{3}
