I think friction can help soccer players by helping them run so the friction can propell em. I just learned this it was pretty easy

. A 1.50kg mass on a spring has a displacement as a function of time given by the equation: x(t) = (7.40cm)cos[(4.16s-1)t – 2.42
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

Solution:

we have given the equation of motion is x(t)=8sint [where t in seconds and x in centimeter]

Position, velocity and acceleration are all based on the equation of motion.

The equation represents the position.  The first derivative gives the velocity and the 2nd derivative gives the acceleration.

x(t)=8sint

x'(t)=8cost

x"(t)=-8sint

now at time t=2pi/3,

position, x(t)=8sin(2pi/3)=4*squart(3)cm.

velocity, x'(t)=8cos(2pi/3)==4cm/s

acceleration, x"(t)==8sin(2pi/3)=-4cm/s^2

so at present the direction is in y-axis.

A 35-mm single lens reflex (SLR) digital camera is using a lens of focal length 35.0 mm to photograph a person who is 1.80 m tal
olganol [36]

Answer:

a) 35.44 mm

b) 17.67 mm

Explanation:

u = Object distance =  3.6 m

v = Image distance

f = Focal length = 35 mm

h_u= Object height = 1.8 m

a) Lens Equation

\frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{u}+\frac{1}{v}\\\Rightarrow \frac{1}{f}-\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{v}\\\Rightarrow \frac{1}{v}=\frac{1}{35}-\frac{1}{3600}\\\Rightarrow \frac{1}{v}=\frac{713}{25200} \\\Rightarrow v=\frac{25200}{713}=35.34\ mm

The CCD sensor is 35.34 mm from the lens

b) Magnification

m=-\frac{v}{u}\\\Rightarrow m=-\frac{35.34}{3600}

m=\frac{h_v}{h_u}\\\Rightarrow -\frac{35.34}{3600}=\frac{h_v}{1800}\\\Rightarrow h_v=-\frac{35.34}{3600}\times 1800=-17.67\ mm

The person appears 17.67 mm tall on the sensor

A baby stroller is a rest on top of a hill which is 10 m high. The stroller and baby have a mass of 20 kg. What is the potential
Anettt [7]

The potential energy is defined as the energy is contained in the body due to the height over the surface of the earth and it is calculated from the equation

PE=mgh

<em>where:</em>

  • PE: the potential energy in Joules.
  • m: the mass of the body in kg.
  • g: the acceleration due to the gravity in m/s^2
  • h: the height of the body over the earth in meters.

<em>in our problem:</em>

PE=20*9.8*10=1960 J
