When you divide by exponents with the same base, you subtract the exponents at the top with the exponents at the bottom.
40/36 reduces down to 10/9.
X^3 and x^1 simplifies down to x^2, so you have 10x^2/9.
Y^1 and y^2, when subtracted, makes -1 (or 1/y)so y will be on the bottom of the fraction, as it is negative, which gives you 10x^2/9y.
The same thing applies to z^2 and z^4, and it makes -2, or 1/z^2. Put it all together and your final answer is 10x^2/9yz^2. Hope this helps! Sorry for the long answer.

notsponge [240]

Answer:

Value of x is used to consider unknown value. The letter “x” is commonly used in algebra to indicate an unknown value. It is referred to as a “variable” or, in some cases, a “unknown.” In x + 2 = 7, x is a variable. ... A variable need not be “x,” but might be “y,” "w," or any other letter, name, or symbol.

If the area of a triangular kite is 6 square feet and its base is 4 feet, find the height
KonstantinChe [14]
The height of the kite is 3 feet. Here’s
why;
We know that BH=2A (base times height is equal to 2 times the area) of any given triangle.
Lets plug in values;
BH=2A
4(H)=2(6)
Then simplify;
4(H)=12
Flip the equation to find the missing value;
12 divided by 4 is 3.
Check your work;
4(3)=6(2):
12=12
The height of the kite is 3 feet.
