it would be good to show which angles you are doing

the first line, you are starting with the fact that since ABC is a striaight angle, therefor ABY+YBC=180, so then (x+25)+(2x+50)=180, slving for x, we get x=35 like you did

remember that if AC and DF are parallel, then YBC has the same angle measure as BEF

so find YBC and BEF

we know x=35 so subsitute

2(35)+50=5(35)-55?

70+50=175-55?

120=120?

true

they are paralell

The diagonals of a rectangle ABCD meet at O if AO=(2x+3)cm and DO=(5x)cm find the length of its diagonals also find the perimete
n200080 [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

AO = DO

2x+3 = 5x

3 = 5x-2x

3 = 3x

x = 1

DO = 5(1)=5cm

AC = 2×5 = 10cm

BC =√10²-8²

= √100-64

=√36

=6 cm

therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle

= 2×(8+6) = 2(14) = 28 cm

What does c=2.5b+70 c=5b+60 equal
anzhelika [568]

Answer:

c=80  b=4

Step-by-step explanation:

c=2.5b+70               multiply the top equation by -2

c=5b+60

c=-5b+-140

c=5b+60                 add both equations together

c=80

plug in 80 for c to determine b for 1 equation.

(let's pick the second equation since it is easier to deal with whole numbers)

80=5b+60                          subtract 60 from both sides

20=5b                            divide each side by 5

4=b

Unnithan, Houser, and Fernhall (2006) were interested in whether playing the game Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) met the American
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

The conclusion that both groups of overweight and non - overweight got cardiovascular benefit from playing DDR games requires Inferential statistics.

Step-by-step explanation:

Inferential statistics is simply a type of research statistic whereby a generalized conclusion is made about a larger group based on representative observations

Now,in the given question, we see that both group hearts were above the minimum recommended for cardiovascular exercise. Now we can infer that the DDR games played by both groups gave them cardiovascular benefits. This conclusion is an example of Inferential statistics where we generalize about a large population based on observations from a small sample.

Thus the conclusion that both groups of overweight and non-overweight got cardiovascular benefit from playing DDR games requires Inferential statistics.

Sumaya is considering investing $8500 into the bank. Bank A offers 2.25% interest rate compounded semiannually. Bank B offers 1.
worty [1.4K]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  C. Bank A - she will make $230.02 more.

Step-by-step explanation:

The account balance at each bank can be computed from ...

  A = P(1 +r/n)^(nt)

where principal P is invested at annual rate r compounded n times per year for t years.

<u>Bank A</u>

Sumaya's balance after 5 years will be ...

  A = 8500(1 + 0.0225/2)^(2·5) = 9506.14

<u>Bank B</u>

Sumaya's balance after 5 years will be ...

  A = 8500(1 +0.0175/12)^(12·5) = 9276.67

__

The balance at Bank A is larger by ...

  9506.14 -9276.67 = 229.47

The closest answer choice is ...

  C. Bank A - she will make $230.02 more

_____

<em>Comment on the discrepancy</em>

The difference between the offered answer choices and the values computed here arise from the use of rounding in intermediate calculations. We did no rounding until the final answer. The offered choices seem to be rounded to about 8 digits, possibly the consequence of using an inadequate calculator.

A three character computer code consist of two letters. what is the probability that the code will be ABA? What is the probabili
Zanzabum
Well if you write out all the possibilities, it would look like this:
AAB
ABB
ABA
BBA
BAB
BAA
^ That is just assuming that you can't do BBB & AAA.

With that, the probability of getting ABA is 1/6 because there are 6 possibilities that the code could be but you are only looking for 1 of those.

Now if you can use BBB & AAA, it would be 1/8.
