Since the formula for kinetic energy is:

Ek = (m*V^2) / 2 where m is mass and V is speed, then we can take this equation and manipulate it a little to isolate the speed.

Ek = mv^2 / 2 — multiply both sides by 2
2Ek = mv^2 — divide both sides by m
2Ek / m = V^2 — switch sides
V^2 = 2Ek / m — plug in values
V^2 = 2*30J / 34kg
V^2 = 60J/34kg
V^2 = 1.76 m/s — sqrt of both sides
V = sqrt(1.76)
V = 1.32m/s (roughly)

Suppose that you are headed toward a plateau 4040 m high. If the angle of elevation to the top of the plateau is 2020degrees°,
Lelu [443]

Answer :

The distance is 109.89 m.

Explanation :

Given that,

Height = 40 m

Angle = 20°

We need to calculate the base of the plateau

Using formula of angle

\tan\thata=\dfrac{h}{x}

Where, h = height

x = base

\theta = angle

Put the value into the formula

\tan20^{\circ}=\dfrac{40}{x}

x=\dfrac{40}{tan20^{\circ}}

x =109.89\ m

Hence, The distance is 109.89 m.

Which of the following statements about electric field lines associated with electric charges is false? Electric field lines can
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

The false statement is 'Electric field lines form closed loops'.

Explanation:

  • Electric field lines originate from positive end and terminates at negative end,i.e., field lines are inward in direction to the negative charges and outward from the positive charges.
  • These lines when close together represents high intensity and when far apart shows low intensity of the field.
  • These lines do not intersect, as the tangent drawn on these lines provides us with the field direction and intersection of these lines means two field directions which is not possible.
  • These lines unlike magnetic field lines do not form closed loops as they do not turn around but originate at positive end and terminates at negative end which ensures no loop formation.

A force of 5 n produces an acceleration of 8m/s2 in mass m1 and an acceleration of 24 m/s2 in mass m2 .what acceleration would i
Inessa [10]

Acceleration of the both masses tied together= 6m/s²

Explanation:

The force is given by F= ma

so 5= m1 (8)

m1=0.625 Kg

for m2

5=m2 (24)

m2=0.208 kg

now total mass= m1+m2=0.625+0.208

Total mass=M=0.833 Kg

now F= ma

5= 0.833 (a)

a= 5/0.833

a=6m/s²
