Well, the diameter doesn't matter in this problem because we allready know how fast, and how much the pool is filling. So, 6 inches is half of a foot, because 1 foot = 12 inches, and six is half of 12. If it take 1 hour for the pool to fill 1/2 of an foot, than it takes 2 hours for a full foot. Next, we multiply 2 hours, by 1 foot, and convert the 1 foot, to 4 feet. Which means to figure out the number of hours, we have to times 2 hours by 4 feet. And that is 8.
So the answer is: 8 feet.

A family of 3 children and 2 adults visited a health club. The club charges $y an hour for each child and $x an hour for each ad
Svetllana [295]

Solution:

A family of 3 children and 2 adults visited a health club. The club charges $y an hour for each child and $x an hour for each adult.

First we make inequality according to question.

In a family number of children 3

Charge for 1 child = $y per hour

Charge for 3 children = 3y

Charge for 1 Adult = $x per hour

Charge for 2 adults = 2x

If the family does not want to s[end more than $30 an hour at health club.

Where, x and y should be greater than 0.

Now we make the graph of this inequality.

First we take equality of equation and then find x and y table.

2x+3y=30

x        y

0        10

6        6

A hyperbola centered at the origin has a vertex at (0, 36) and a focus at (0, 39)
borishaifa [10]
To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1. The vertex i at (0, 36) and a focus at (0, 39), then you have:

a=36
a^2=1296

2. The directrix is:

y=a^2=c
c=39
y=1296/39
y=432/13

Therefore, the answer is the option D, which is: D. y=± 432/13
