y=5x-1

use the substitution method since y= 4

4= 5x-1

move -1 to the other side

sign changes from -1 to +1

4+1= 5x-1+1

4+1= 5x

5= 5x

divide both sides by 5 to get x by itself

5/5= 5/5x

Cross out 5 and 5, divide by 5 and then becomes 1*1*x= x

x=5/5

Answer: x= 1

So, if you’re only given the y coordinate in your problem, you would plug that back into your equation
y=5x-1 turns into
4=5x-1 and you can solve by
5=5x
1=x
so the ordered pair turns out to be
(1,4)

HURRY!!! I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST FOR CORRECT ANSWER
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

A function is a relation in which each element of the domain, or x-value, is mapped to one element of the range, or y-value.

The question we are asked is if cost is a function of the activity type.  This means that cost would be the range and activity type would be the domain.

If this is a function, then each activity type would have only one cost.  However, on different days of the week each activity type has different prices; this means there is more than one cost for each activity type, and it is not a function.

The expressions 10/12(245b−365) and 2/3(3b+6) represent the lengths of the diagonals of parallelogram WXYZ. For what value of b
makkiz [27]

Answer:

b = 1.52

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of diagonals of a parallelogram = \frac{10}{12}(245b - 365) and \frac{2}{3}(3b+6)

If the given parallelogram is a rectangle,

Length of the diagonals will be equal in measure,

Therefore, \frac{10}{12}(245b - 365)=\frac{2}{3}(3b+6)

245b - 365 = \frac{12}{10}\times \frac{2}{3}(3b+6)

245b - 365 = \frac{4}{5}(3b+6)

5(245b - 365) = 4(3b + 6)

1225b - 1825 = 12b + 24

1225b - 12b = 24 + 1825

1213b = 1849

b = \frac{1849}{1213}

b = 1.52
