It can be calculated by the product of the specific heat of the substance ad the difference of the final temperature and the initial temperature. Molar enthalpy change is the heat evolved or absorbed per 1 mole of a substance.The specific heat of water is 4.18 J per gram of water per degree Celsius. We calculate as follows:

Molar enthalpy change = 4.18 J / g - C ( 76.2 C - 41.7 C ) ( 18.02 g / mol ) = 2598.6642 J or 2.6 kJ
