The value of m= \frac{- 1}{6} and b = 5

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, Line passes through points A(-6,6) = (x_1, y_1); \ B(12,3) = (x_2 , y_2)

Slope of line passing through two points is m = \frac{(y_2-y_1)}{(x_2-x_1)}

\rightarrow \frac{(3-6)}{(12- (-6))}

\rightarrow \frac{-3}{18} = \frac{-1}{6}

Equation of a straight line passing through point-slope form is y - y1 = m (x - x1) --- (1)

Since we have two points we can use any point. Let us take A (-6,6) and m \frac{-1}{6} and substitute in (1)

\Rightarrow y - 6 = \frac{-1}{6 (x - (-6))}

\Rightarrow y - 6 = \frac{-1}{6x -1}

\Rightarrow y = \frac{-1}{6x + 5} [By equating as y = mx + b]

m = \frac{-1}{6} ; b = 5

Substituting the other coordinates also gives the same result.

Hi everyone! I have a question!
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

7π

Step-by-step explanation:

SO first find the area of the whole circle

which has a radius of 3

a=πr^2

So 3^2=9

9π

Now the two circles which are the same in area due to having the same radius

so if you plug in the 1 for radius the answer would just be π or 1π

now multiply that by 2 becuase there are 2 identical circles

π*2=2π

Now subtract

9π-2π=7π

Answer:

  7 7/8

Step-by-step explanation:

There are several ways to get there.

  2.25×3.5 = 7.875 = 7 7/8

  (2 1/4)(3 1/2) = (9/4)(7/2) = 63/8 = 7 7/8

  (2 1/4)(3.5) = 2(3.5) +(1/4)(3.5) = 7 + (2·3.5)/(2·4) = 7 +7/8 = 7 7/8

A typical graphing calculator will let you enter this problem directly, giving you a result either as a decimal, improper fraction, or a mixed number.
