Answer:

226 11/20 cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

This consists of 2 trapezoids and 4 rectangles.

Area of the 2 trapezoids = 2 * 4 *(6 1/2 + 5 1/4 ) /2

= 47 cm^2.

Area of the 4 rectangles = 4*9 + 6 1/2 * 9 + 4 1/5 * 9 + 9* 5 1/4

= 36 + 117/2 + 189/5 + 189/4

= 3591/20 cm^2

Total surface area = 47 + 3591/20

= 4531/20

= 226 11/20 cm^2.

5:11 is the ratio of those who completed in the freestyle to those who didn't. It would not be 5:16 because 5 of the members from the 16 members did the freestyle. 16-5 equals 11. 5(Men who did freestyle):11(Men who didn't do freestyle)

Your answer is 5:11.

You are enclosing a rectangular garden with 60 feet of ornamental fencing. the area of the garden is 200 square feet. what are t
Lilit [14]

The perimeter is equal to 60 feet and has the formula:

Perimeter = 2 l + 2 w

60 = 2 l + 2 w

The area is equal to 200 square feet and has the formula:

Area = l w

200 = l w

Rewriting area in terms of l:

l = 200 / w

Combining this with the perimeter formula:

60 = 2 (200 / w) + 2 w

60 = 400 / w + 2 w

Multiplying all by w:

60 w = 400 + 2 w^2

Dividing by 2 and rearranging:

w^2 – 30 w = - 200

Completing the square:

(w – 15)^2 = - 200 + (-15)^2

(w – 15)^2 = 25

w – 15 = ±5

w = 10, 20

Hence the dimensions of the garden is 10 feet by 20 feet

Given 100,000 cm = 1 km Evaluate 17.8km
inn [45]
Hi there!

In order to solve this equation, we need to multiply:

17.8 * 100,000 = 1,780,000 cm
Since 100000 cm = 1 km, 17.8 km = 1,780,000 cm

Hope this helps!
