3 0

Answer:

226 11/20 cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

This consists of 2 trapezoids and 4 rectangles.

Area of the 2 trapezoids = 2 * 4 *(6 1/2 + 5 1/4 ) /2

= 47 cm^2.

Area of the 4 rectangles =  4*9 + 6 1/2 * 9 +  4 1/5 * 9 + 9* 5 1/4

=  36 +  117/2 + 189/5 + 189/4

= 3591/20 cm^2

Total surface area = 47 + 3591/20

= 4531/20

= 226 11/20 cm^2.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THE ANSWER FOR THIS IS 4N+15. THIS IS 10 MINUTES PAST DUE!!! TAKE 20 POINTS
Oduvanchick [21]
The first part of the expression 4n is because n is the amount of almond trees and to find the walnut trees, you need to multiply the number of almond trees (n) by for (4n). you would also add 15 because it says he has 15 more than 4 times as many walnut trees.

so here's the breakdown of the sentence:

Daquan has 15 more than (15 +) 4 times as many (4n) walnut trees in his orchard as he has almond trees.

hopefully this makes sense! have a nice day

The base of a triangle exceeds the height by 3 cm if the area is 170 cm² what is the length of the base and the height of the tr
Strike441 [17]

Hey there!!

How do we find the area of a triangle?

Ans - Formula = ( 1 / 2 ) ( base ) ( height )

In the question, it states the base exceeds the height by 3 cm

Let's take the height as ' x '

The, the base of the triangle would be ' x + 3 '

It's area = 170 cm²

Let' get this into an equation :

( 1/2 ) ( x ) ( x + 3 ) = 170

... ( x / 2 ) ( x + 3 ) = 170

... ( x² + 3x / 2 ) = 170

Multiplying by 2 on both sides

... x² + 3x = 340

Subtract 340 on both sides

... x² + 3x - 340 = 0

We can write this as

... x² - 17x + 20x - 340 = 0

... x ( x - 17 ) + 20 ( x - 17 ) = 0

... ( x + 20 ) = 0

... ( x - 17 ) = 0

... x = -20

... x = 17

As the value can not be in negatives, we take x as 17

The value of height = 17 cm

The value of the base = 20 cm

Hope my answer helps!!
