Answer:

The right choice is  c. Water molecules have a weakly positive hydrogen end.

Explanation:

The unequal sharing of electrons in water molecule gives a slight negative charge near its oxygen atom ( see image below) and a slight positive charge near its hydrogen atoms. A neutral molecule that has a partial positive charge at one end and a partial negative charge at the other, it is a polar molecule.

so

a. Water molecules have a nonpolar bond.

It is wrong choice because water has polar bond .

b. Water molecules have a weakly positive oxygen end.

Also, a wrong choice due to water molecule gives a slight negative charge near its oxygen atom.

c. Water molecules have a weakly positive hydrogen end.

This is the right choice.

d. Water molecules have two oxygen and two hydrogen atoms

It is wrong choice because water has one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms

So, the right choice is

c. Water molecules have a weakly positive hydrogen end.

Identifying a trend in temperature change over time
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

More than three decade the temperature of earth is increasing equally by the rate of 0.8 Celsius (1.4 Fahrenheit). It is going to be very harmful for the human being as well animals.  The global warming is the main reason and hole in the ozone layer had been the cause of increasing the temperature of the earth. Humans are also involved in cause in temperature of earth by cutting forests and making land suitable for residence and not planting more trees instead of the cut trees.

How many protons, electrons, and neutrons does an atom with atomic number 50 and mass number 125 contain?
kherson [118]
The number of protons in an atom is equal the atomic number (= 50)

The sum of the Neutrons and Protons is the Atomic Mass (=125)
Neutrons + Protons=125

Plug in for the protons (50)
Neutrons +(50)=125

Then, once solved, we have Neutrons = 75

Assuming the atom is NOT an ion, the amount of electrons is equal to the number of protons. (protons=electrons=50=50)

Therefore:
There are 50 electrons, 50 protons, and 75 electrons.

What is the difference between Mixtures and Compounds? I am trying to study for my Science quiz on Tuesday, and I need to know t
Deffense [45]
A mixture can be separated.  Everything in a mixture keeps it's own properties and are not chemically joined together.  I am not completely sure about the compound.  Although with the cake example, the ingredients have been mixed and kind of "fused" together upon baking. Hope this helps a little. (P.S. trail mix is a good example of a mixture.)

does the nitro group on the pyridine ring make the ring more electron rich or more electron deficient
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

more electron deficient

Explanation:

The nitro group is an electron withdrawing group. It withdraws electrons from the pyridine ring by resonance.

This electron withdrawal by resonance makes the pyridine ring less electron rich or more electron deficient.

Hence, the nitro group makes the pyrinde ring more electron deficient
