It is not reasonable because if they were to buy 4 ounces of blue jelly beans and 3 ounces of jelly beans they would be going over their limit. It would cost them  two dollars and seventy seven cents for those bags instead of two dollars and twenty cents.

Since blue jelly beans cost less the could have a greater amount amount of blue then red since its less expensive for each bag of blue jelly beans

Solve using elimination.

-3x-5y=-7
4x+5y=14
You can cross out -5y and 5y because they add to 0.
-3x=-7
4x=14
Combine:
x=7
Plug 7 into x into either of the two equations to solve for y.
4(7)+5y=14
28+5y=14
5y=-14
y=-14/5 or -2.8

Write down the solution to these simultaneous equations. y=2x + 1 and y= 0.5x - 2
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

(-2, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

y=2x + 1

y= 0.5x - 2

2x+1= 0.5x -2

1.5x= -3

x= -2

y= 2x+ 1

y= 2(-2)+1

y= -3

The solution is (-2,-3)

1. Mr. Paul pays the parking bill before tax at a cost of $33.20. The parking tax rate is 2%. Mr. Paul decides to leave a 5% tip
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

for the first question the total bill is  $35.524

for the 2nd question the answer is  $36.36 = 110%.

$36.36 ÷ 1.1 = $33.054

(the five and the four are recurring)

(I divided by 1.1 because 1.1 is the same as 110%)

hope this helped :)

An isosceles triangle has base angles measuring 25 degrees each. What is the measure of the vertex angle?
Yuri [45]
A triangle's sum must add to 180 degrees. If two of the angles, summed, equal 50 degrees, then the vertex angle must equal 130 degrees. So, the vertex angle equals 130 degrees.

In a department store the owner paid $15 for 1kg of sugar.The owner marked the price up by 10% for the customers.How much dose h
oee [108]
First, we need to figure out 10% of fifteen.

So, we multiple 15 by 10% (or 0.1 in simpler terms).

That gives us 1.5, which is our mark-up price.

So, finally we add the markup price to the original price to obtain the selling price.

1.5 + 15 = 16.5

The owner charges $16.50 for 1kg of sugar!
