For this problem, to determine the number of moles given the number of atoms, we use the Avogadro's number. This is an empirical value that relates the number of particles (e.g. atoms, molecules, sub-particles) in one mole of any substance. The value is 6.022×10²³ atoms/mol.

3.70×10²⁴ atoms * 1 mol/6.022×10²³ atoms = 6.144 moles of Aluminum

Investigations were carried out in a science lab to explore the topic of chemical and physical changes. Investigation A Step 1.
ozzi

Answer:

Investigation B, Step 2

Explanation:

The colour change is a good indication of a chemical change. The sugar molecules were most likely changing into something else.

Investigation A, Step 1. Wrong. The dissolving of salt is a physical process.

Investigation A, Step 2. Wrong. You simply boiled off the water (a physical process) and recovered the salt.

Investigation B, Step 1. Wrong. The dissolving of sugar is a physical process.

A is Ea, which stands for activating energy. Energy is needed to get the reaction underway and Ea is the energy needed to “start” the reaction.

B is the temperature either released or absorbed.

The diagram shows that the reaction is exothermic based on the fact that the products energy is lower than the reactants. That is because energy (which is temperature in this case) is released during the process. If the reactants would have been lower than the products, the reaction would be endothermic.

How many protons and electrons does oxygen have? What about hydrogen? Draw a model of each atom if that helps you think about th
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

Two electrons fit in the first shell out from the nucleus and eight fit in the second. Every element with more protons than the two of Helium needs to work on shells outside the first one. one you get to ten, you have filled the first two shells.

In a water molecule, oxygen forms one covalent bond with EACH of TWO hydrogen atoms. As a result, the oxygen atom has a stable arrangement of 8 valence electrons. Each hydrogen atom forms only one bond because it needs only two electrons to be stable.
