You don't need to start with the greater number. Either order of numbers will work because addition had a communitive property, meaning it can be added in any order to get the same answer.

I need helpThe length of a rectangle is (Iunits, and its width is (x + 11) units. Which expression can represent the area of the
balandron [24]

We have a rectangle with length L=x-8 and width W=x+11

Let's remember that the area of a rectangle is given by the following equation

A_R=L\cdot W

We replace these values

A_R=(x+11)(x-8)

We multiply and solve

\begin{gathered} A_R=x^2-8x+11x-88 \\ A_R=x^2+3x-88 \end{gathered}

The answer is option B

One of the ratios in a proportion is Each of the cross products is equal to 120. What is the other ratio?
faust18 [17]

Answer:

120

Step-by-step explanation:

A proportion can be called as an equation to check two ratios are equal to each other or not.

Whenever the terms of a proportion are cross multiplied, the cross products will always be equal.

So to check this we can find the cross products to check if two ratios are equal and  if they are equal,they are in proportion. To find the cross products of a proportion, we multiply the extremes, and the means.

Please help me with this math problem. Find the equation for the line below.
lora16 [44]

Answer:

y+2=3/4(x+5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to find the slope of the line. Between the two points, the line rises from a y value of -2 to a y value of 4, or a total rise of 6 units. It also goes to the right from an x value of -5 to an x value of 3, which is a total of 8 units. 6 units of rise over 8 units of run is a total slope of 6/8=3/4. Now, you can use the point slope form for either one of the points (I'll use the leftmost one).

y+2=3/4(x+5)

Hope this helps!
