The initial voltage at the primary= 750 V

Explanation:

for a transformer

Es/ Ep= Ns/ Np

Es= secondary voltage= 240 V

Ep= primary voltage

Ns= number of turns in the secondary=8

Np= Number of turns in the primary=25

so 240/Ep=8/25

Ep=750 V

26.0 g of copper pellets are removed from a 300∘C oven and immediately dropped into 120 mL of water at 21.0 ∘C in an insulated c
Scilla [17]

Answer:

The new water temperature is 26.4 °C

Explanation:

Given;

mass of copper, M_{cu} = 26 g = 0.026 kg

temperature of copper, t = 300 °C

volume of water, V = 120 mL = 0.12 L

temperature of water, t = 21 °C

density of water, ρ = 1 kg/L

mass of water = density x volume

mass of water = (1 kg/L) x 0.12 L = 0.12 kg

heat lost by copper = heat gained by water

Both copper and water reach final temperature, T

Heat gained by water, Q_w = m_wcΔθ = m_w C(T - t)

Q_w = m_w C(T - t)\\\\Q_w = 0.12*4200(T-21)\\\\Q_w = 504(T-21)

Heat lost by copper is given by;

Q_{cu} = m_{cu}C(300-T)\\\\Q_{cu} = 0.026*385(300-T)\\\\Q_{cu} = 10.01(300 - T)

Q_{cu} = Q_w

504(T- 21) = 10.01(300 - T)

504 T - 10584 = 3003 - 10.01 T

504 T + 10.01 T= 3003 + 10584

514.01 T = 13587

T = (13587) / 514.01

T = 26.4 °C

Therefore, the new water temperature is 26.4 °C

Should there be mandatory radon testing in school?
Neko [114]
Yes, i believe they absolutely should make radon testing mandatory.
Being exposeed to radon substance for a certain period of time will dramatically increase children's chance in developing lung cancer.
The thing is, Radon is a type of substance that does not have a visual form, taste, or smell which make proper testing is the only way to detect them.

Why does some plastic stick to your skin?
mario62 [17]

Answer:

Static Energy

Explanation:

Human skin is easily positively charged.

Plastic wrap is an insulator which means it does not allow electrons to flow from one to the other. Plastic wrap is negatively charged and human skin is positively charged and opposite charges attract. Hope this helps.

calculate the speed with which an object or mass 20kg hits the ground to its kinetic energy of 490 joules (mention formula)
notka56 [123]

Answer:

Speed = 7m/s

Explanation:

Kinetic Energy = 1/2*(mv²)

v² = (490*2)/20 = 49

v = √49 = 7m/s
