The sum of the intereior angles for a regular polygon with n side is 180(n-2)

so pentaon is 5 sides, n=5
180(5-2)=180(3)=540 degrees
the sum of it's interior angles is 540 degrees

we gotss a right triangle

remember, for any right triangle if the legs are a and b and hytponuse is c then
a²+b²=c²
hypotnuse is longest side
in this case, hytponuse is the diagonal

teh legs are 40 and 24
the hypotnuse is the diagonal

40²+24²=c²
1600+576=c²
2176=c²
sqrt both sides
8√34=c
aprox
c≈46.64
rounded
c=46.6ft

10. Because a pentagon has 5 sides and the sum of all the interior angles of a shape is 360 degrees, you would divide 360 by 5, to get the measure of each interior angle inside the shape. 360/5=72, therefore each interior angle would have a measure of 72 degrees.

11. To find the length of the diagonal of Davey's log cabin, you can use the Pythagorean Theorem, using 40 and 24 as a and b. You would have to solve the equation 40 squared + 24 squared = c squared, were c would represent the length you are finding. If you solve the equation, you find that the length of the diagonal of Davey's Cabin is 46.6 ft.

A student had 500 milliliters of water in a water bottle. She drank 25% of the water before soccer practice. After practice, she drank 1/3 of the remaining water.

How much water, in milliliters, does the student have left in the bottle?

Answer:

the amount of water the student have left in the bottle is 250 milliliters

Step-by-step explanation:

A student had 500 milliliters of water in a water bottle. She drank 25% of the water before soccer practice. After practice, she drank 1/3 of the remaining water.

How much water, in milliliters, does the student have left in the bottle?

Before the soccer practice, she drank 25 % of the water

25% of the water = 25% of 500

                             = 25% × 500

                              =\frac{25}{100} ×  500

At the right hand-side of the equation, the two zeros will cancel-out the other two zeros, hence;

                                = 25 × 5

                                 =125

25% of the water = 125 milliliters

From the question, it was said that drank 25% of the water before soccer, this implies that she drank 125 milliliters from the water bottles.

If she drank 125 milliliters of from a 500 milliliters water contain in the water bottle, then the amount of water left will be 500 ml - 125 ml = 375 ml

This implies that before the soccer practice she had 375 milliliters of water left in the water bottle.

After the practice, she drank 1/3 of the remaining water, which means after the practice she drank 1/3 of 375

1/3 of 375 = \frac{1}{3} × 375 = \frac{375}{3} = 125

After the practice she drank 125 milliliters of water from her 375 milliliters water.

The amount of water she have left after the practice will be;

375 milliliters - 125 milliliters = 250 milliliters

Therefore, the amount of water the student have left in the bottle is 250 milliliters

Solve the equation 1/2(16x – 6) = 2.
Lorico [155]

Answer:

x = 0.625 or 5/8

Step-by-step explanation:

1/2(16x-6) = 2

8x - 3 = 3

8x = 3 + 3

8x/8 = 9/8

x = 0.625

Nimfa-mama [501]

Using the confidence interval, it is found that the correct option is:

There is convincing evidence because the entire interval is above 0.

When does a confidence interval for the difference of proportions gives convincing evidence that there is a difference?

It gives convincing evidence when 0 is not part of the confidence interval.

In this problem, the interval is (0.02, 0.38), which does not contain 0, hence the correct option is:

There is convincing evidence because the entire interval is above 0.

How to find minimum and maximum of this equation.
Westkost [7]

Using it's vertex, the maximum value of the quadratic function is -3.19.

What is the vertex of a quadratic equation?

A quadratic equation is modeled by:

y = ax^2 + bx + c

The vertex is given by:

(x_v, y_v)

In which:

  • x_v = -\frac{b}{2a}
  • y_v = -\frac{b^2 - 4ac}{4a}

Considering the coefficient a, we have that:

  • If a < 0, the vertex is a maximum point.
  • If a > 0, the vertex is a minimum point.

In this problem, the equation is:

y + 4 = -x² + 1.8x

In standard format:

y = -x² + 1.8x - 4.

The coefficients are a = -1 < 0, b = 1.8, c = -4, hence the maximum value is:

y_v = -\frac{1.8^2 - 4(-1)(-4)}{4(-1)} = -3.19
