In the physical sense, wetness implies the absorption of bulk water into a material or the adsorption of water on its surface. By this definition, water is of course wet.
An everyday definition of wetness is that the material feels wet to the touch. Water certainly feels wet, so again, the definition is met.

When placed 1.18 m apart, the force each exerts on the other is 11.2 N and is repulsive. What is the charge on each
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

q=41.62\ \mu C

Explanation:

Given that,

Force between two objects, F = 11.2 N

Distance between objects, d = 1.18 m

We need to find the charge on each objects. The force between charges is as follows :

F=\dfrac{kq^2}{r^2}\\\\q=\sqrt{\dfrac{Fr^2}{k}} \\\\q=\sqrt{\dfrac{11.2\times (1.18)^2}{9\times 10^9}} \\\\q=41.62\ \mu C

So, the charge on each sphere is 41.62\ \mu C.

Because the block is not moving, the sum of the x components of the forces acting on the block must be zero. Find an expression
Viktor [21]

Answer:

F_{xtotal} = F_{x} - \mu N

Explanation:

Let the total force be F

The force that produces motion in the x direction is given as, F_{x}

Let the frictional force be given as:

F_{fric} = \mu N

Thus, the net force is given as:

F_{xnet}  = F_{x} - \mu N

Models that explain the formation of the solar system through a series of gradual steps are considered evolutionary theories. Wh
lora16 [44]

Answer:

Catastrophic theories

Explanation:

The theory of catastrophe is a collection of methods used to analyze and describe the ways in which a system can experience sudden significant behavioral changes when one or more of the variables that govern it are continuously modified.

Georges Louis de Buffon suggested in 1745 the first destructive theory — that a comet pulled material from the Sun to form the planets.

Therefore the answer is -

Catastrophic theories

Why don't atoms get too close?
Kamila [148]

Answer:

<h3>This tends not to happen, because atoms are composed of charged particles that interact at a distance. ... Since the electrons are around the outside of the atom, those are the things that first interact, and as they have the same charge, they repel one another.</h3>

A. The electrons from atom repel each other

The images below are models that represent the reactants and products of a chemical reaction.
Eva8 [605]

Explanation:

In a chemical reaction, when mass is conserved , the number of atoms or moles of the reactants must be equal to the number of moles or atoms in the products side.

From the diagram, we should carefully look to see if the number of atoms that makes up the reactants are equal to those on the product side.

 For example:

      A + B → AB

Here, mass is conserved because, on the reactant side, we have 1 atom of A and on the product side we have 1 atom of A

For B, on the reactant side, we have 1 atom of B and on the product side, we have 1 atom of B.
