First, we need to simplify your quadratic equation, in the form of ax^2-bx-c=0. Your equation turns out to be x^2-4x+5=0
To find your solutions, x1+x2=-b/a or 4 in this case, and x1*x2=c/a or 5 in this case. So we need to find two numbers when added together is 4 and multiplied together to get 5. We can easily find our roots by using the roots formula, or (-b (+/-)sqrt(b^2-4ac))/2a. When plugging everything in, we have (4(+/-)sqrt(16-20)/2. As you can make out from the plugged in equation, you can't have a negative number under the radical symbol in order for it to be true.
Your answer is C, no real solutions.
Hope this helps.

find the mean, median, and mode of he data set. round to the nearest tenth. 7, 5, 4, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 4, 5
SashulF [63]
Hello!

First you need to list the numbers from least to greatest

1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 7

To find the mean you add all the numbers up and divide the sum by the amount of numbers added

1 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 7 = 39

39 / 10 = 3.9

The mean is 3.9
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To find the median you find the number in the middle

The median is 4
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mode is the number that appears the most

The mode is 5

Hope this helps!

evablogger [386]

Answer:

-20

Step-by-step explanation:

-8v-9=7

Add 9 to each side

-8v-9+9=7+9

-8v = 16

Divide by -8

-8v /-8 = 16/-8

v = -2

Now find

7v -6

7(-2) -6

-14 -6
