You have just started working at a swimming pool supply store and they have nitric acid on their shelves. In order to help custo

mers adjust the pH of their swimming pool you must know many details about this chemical. Due to air conditioning the store is always at 25 degrees Celsius. The label on the nitric acid bottle is marked as 0.0155 mol/L. What is the hydronium ion concentration?

Answer:

The concentration of hydronium ions is 0.0155 mol/L

Explanation:

The aqueous solution ionization reaction for nitric acid is as follows;

HNO₃ + H₂O → NO₃⁻ + H₃O⁺

Whereby HNO₃ is a strong acid and it undergoes complete ionization in an aqueous solution

Hence one mole of HNO₃ produces one mole of H₃O⁺ ions

0.0155 mol/L HNO₃ will have 0.0155 moles of H₃O⁺ in one liter of the solution

The concentration of hydronium ions = 0.0155 mol/L.

A container of what volume would be required to store 60.0 moles of a gas at a pressure of 20.0 atm and a temperature of 50.0 Ce
belka [17]

Answer:

The answer to your question is:  79.6 L

Explanation:

Data:

n = 60 moles

Pressure = P = 20.0 atm

Temperature = T = 50°C

Volume = V = ?

Convert temperature to Kelvin

      °K = 273 + 50

      °K = 323

Formula  (ideal gas law)

               PV = nRT        solve for V

              V = nRT / P

             V = (60)(0.08206)(323) / 20        Substitution

            V = 1590.32 /20

             V = 79.6 L

kogti [31]

Answer:

a) K2[Ni(CN)4]

b) Na3[Ru(NH3)2(CO3)2]

c) Pt(NH3)2Cl2

Explanation:

Coordination compounds are named in accordance with IUPAC nomenclature.

According to this nomenclature, negative ligands end with the suffix ''ato'' while neutral ligands have no special ending.

The ions written outside the coordination sphere are counter ions. Given the names of the coordination compounds as written in the question, their formulas are provided above.
