If you would like to solve (x^3 + 8) / (x + 2), you can do this using the following steps:

x^3 + 8 = (x + 2) * (x^2 - 2x + 4)

(x^3 + 8) / (x + 2) = (x + 2) * (x^2 - 2x + 4) / (x + 2) = <span>x^2 - 2x + 4
</span>
The correct result would be <span>x^2 - 2x + 4.</span>

As the Question is not clear

But there are two possibilities

1. \frac{x^3+8}{x+2}=\frac{(x+2)(x^2-2 x+4)}{x+2}=x^2-2 x+4→→Cancelling x+2 from numerator and denominator

→→ Using the formula (a³ + b³) =(a+b)(a² - ab + b²)

Or if

\frac{x^3-8}{x-2}=\frac{(x-2)(x^2+2x+4)}{x-2}=x^2+ 2 x +4→→Cancelling x-2 from numerator and denominator

Using the formula (a³ - b³) =(a-b)(a² + ab + b²)

Statement (1) appears true.

So, correct option is  x²- 2 x + 4 or x² + 2 x + 4

nexus9112 [7]

Answer: 1.5 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

If two quantities are directly proportional, it means that an increase in the value of one quantity would cause a corresponding increase in the other quantity. Also, a decrease in the value of one quantity would cause a corresponding decrease in the other quantity.

Given that the amount a spring will stretch,S varies directly with weight, F, if we introduce a constant of proportionality, k, the expression becomes

S = kF

When S = 2.22 and L = 37, then

2.22 = 37k

k = 2.22/37 = 0.06

Therefore, the equation that relates the length S that the spring stretches to the weight F is

S = 0.06F

Therefore, if F = 25 pounds, then

S = 0.06 × 25

S = 1.5 inches

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(-5,4)=since x coordinate is negative and y coordinate is positive it lies on 2 nd quadrant.

(4,-2)=x coordinate is positive and y coordinate is negative so it lies on 4 th quadrant

(7,2)=both x coordinate and y coordinate are positive so they lie in 1 st quadrant.

(-3,-7) =both x and y coordinate are negative so they lie on 3 nd quadrant
