Answer :  The rate for the formation of hydrogen is, 1.05 M/s

Explanation :

The general rate of reaction is,

aA+bB\rightarrow cC+dD

Rate of reaction : It is defined as the change in the concentration of any one of the reactants or products per unit time.

The expression for rate of reaction will be :

\text{Rate of disappearance of A}=-\frac{1}{a}\frac{d[A]}{dt}

\text{Rate of disappearance of B}=-\frac{1}{b}\frac{d[B]}{dt}

\text{Rate of formation of C}=+\frac{1}{c}\frac{d[C]}{dt}

\text{Rate of formation of D}=+\frac{1}{d}\frac{d[D]}{dt}

Rate=-\frac{1}{a}\frac{d[A]}{dt}=-\frac{1}{b}\frac{d[B]}{dt}=+\frac{1}{c}\frac{d[C]}{dt}=+\frac{1}{d}\frac{d[D]}{dt}

From this we conclude that,

In the rate of reaction, A and B are the reactants and C and D are the products.

a, b, c and d are the stoichiometric coefficient of A, B, C and D respectively.

The negative sign along with the reactant terms is used simply to show that the concentration of the reactant is decreasing and positive sign along with the product terms is used simply to show that the concentration of the product is increasing.

The given rate of reaction is,

CH_4+H_2O\rightarrow CO+3H_2

The expression for rate of reaction :

\text{Rate of disappearance of }CH_4=-\frac{d[CH_4]}{dt}

\text{Rate of disappearance of }H_2O=-\frac{d[H_2O]}{dt}

\text{Rate of formation of }CO=+\frac{d[CO]}{dt}

\text{Rate of formation of }H_2=+\frac{1}{3}\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}

The rate of reaction expression is:

\text{Rate of reaction}=-\frac{d[CH_4]}{dt}=-\frac{d[H_2O]}{dt}=+\frac{d[CO]}{dt}=+\frac{1}{3}\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}

As we are given that:

+\frac{d[CO]}{dt}=0.35M/s

Now we to determine the rate for the formation of hydrogen.

+\frac{1}{3}\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}=+\frac{d[CO]}{dt}

+\frac{1}{3}\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}=0.35M/s

\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}=3\times 0.35M/s

\frac{d[H_2]}{dt}=1.05M/s

Thus, the rate for the formation of hydrogen is, 1.05 M/s

A volume of 80.0 mL of aqueous potassium hydroxide (KOH) is titrated against a standard solution of sulfuric acid (H2SO4). What
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

0.478 M

Explanation:

Let's consider the neutralization reaction between KOH and H₂SO₄.

2 KOH + H₂SO₄ → K₂SO₄ + 2 H₂O

12.7 mL of 1.50 M H₂SO₄ react. The reacting moles of H₂SO₄ are:

0.0127 L × 1.50 mol/L = 0.0191 mol

The molar ratio of KOH to H₂SO₄ is 2:1. The reacting moles of KOH are 2 × 0.0191 mol = 0.0382 mol

0.0382 moles of KOH are in 80.0 mL. The molarity of KOH is:

M = 0.0382 mol/0.0800 L = 0.478 M

Strike441 [17]

x21 +ANSWER

(i) Ne-22

(ii)1s2s22p6

(iii)21.3

An element X exists in three forms A, B and C in the ratio 1:2:3. If C has 10 protons and the number of neutrons in A, B and C are 10, 11 and 12 respectively,Give the following:(i) Representation of form C of the element X(ii) Electronic configuration of form B of the element(iii) Calculate the average atomic mass.

(i)C  has 10 protons and 12 neutrons so a mass of 10 +12 =22

element 10 is Neon (Ne) so this isotope is Ne-22

(ii) they all have the sane atomic number so the same number of electrons

with an electronic structure of 1s2s22p6

(iii) A weighs 20, B weighs 21, C weighs 22

the ratio is 1:2:3

weighted average weight is therefor

(1X20 +2X21 +3X22)/6 =21.3
