The ferry can carry 3 cars at one time

There are 14

3 x 4 = 12 (which is not enough to carry all 14 across)
3 x 5 = 15 (which is more than enough space to carry all 14 across)

So the ferry needs to make 5 trips in all

hope this helps

It would take the ferry a total of 5 trips to carry all 14 cars across

The area of the front side of the toy building is 1 square foot. The real building's
Brilliant_brown [7]
The ratio or the relationship of the toy to the large building is one foot to every 400 feet so in mathematical terms it’s shown as a ratio like this... 400:1 and since they are asking about the real building as the primary reason for the ratio it’s number goes first because they are enquiring about it’s relationship to the small one.(which is worded weirdly so I think they are trying to get you messed up)
Good luck

Can someone please help me with this problem?? **It's high-school geometry.

Hello!

Answer:

\huge\boxed{59.04 units}

To solve, we will need to use Right-Triangle Trigonometry:

Begin by solving for angles ∠S and ∠R using tangent (tan = opp/adj)

tan ∠S = a / (1/2b)

tan ∠S = 3√5 / 14

tan ∠S ≈ 0.479

arctan 0.479  = m∠S (inverse)

m∠S and m∠R ≈ 25.6°

Use cosine to solve for the hypotenuse, or the missing side-length:

cos ∠S = 14 / x

x · cos (25.6) = 14

x  = 14 / cos(25.6)

x ≈ 15.52

Both triangles are congruent, so we can go ahead and find the perimeter of the figure:

RS + RQ + QS = 28 + 15.52 + 15.52 = 59.04 units.

Hope this helped you! :)

Grace rakes leaves everyday for one week. She fills the same number of bags with leaves on each of the 5 weekdays. She fills 11
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

3 bags per weekday

Step-by-step explanation:

Total bags of leaves at the end of the week = 26 bags

Bags of leaves she fills over the weekend = 11 bags

Bags of leaves she fills during weekdays = x bags

Total bags of leaves at the end of the week = Bags of leaves she fills over the weekend + Bags of leaves she fills during weekdays

26 = 11 + x

Subtract 11 from both sides

26 - 11 = 11 - 11 + x

15 = x

x = 15 bags

If she fills the same number of bags with leaves on each of the 5 weekdays.

how many bags she filled each weekday.

Bags she filled each weekday = Total Bags of leaves she fills during weekdays / 5 weekdays

= 15 bags / 5 weekdays

= 3 bags per weekday
