The ferry can carry 3 cars at one time

There are 14

3 x 4 = 12 (which is not enough to carry all 14 across)
3 x 5 = 15 (which is more than enough space to carry all 14 across)

So the ferry needs to make 5 trips in all

hope this helps

It would take the ferry a total of 5 trips to carry all 14 cars across

Which of the binomials below is a factor of this trinomial? -3x^2-21x+24 x-4 x+1 x+4 x-1
OleMash [197]

Answer:

-3x^2-21x+24

Step-by-step explanation:

Kindly separate the answer choices: (x - 4), (x + 1), (x + 4) , (x - 1). The trinomial is thus -3x^2-21x+24, which can be factored as follows: -3(x^2 + 7x - 8)

Then we have -3x^2-21x+24 = -3(x^2 + 7x - 8), which factors further into:

-3(x + 8)(x -1) and so we conclude that the only binomial that is a factor of

-3x^2-21x+24 is (x - 1).

Which statement is true about ∠BPD?
nalin [4]

Option C:

∠BPD congruent to ∠APC.

Solution:

To find which statement is true about ∠BPD.

Option A: It is adjacent to ∠APC.

∠BPD adjacent to ∠APD and ∠BPC.

So, it is not adjacent to ∠APC.

Hence it is false statement.

Option B: It is complementary to ∠BPC.

In a straight line adjacent angles are supplementary.

In straight line CD, ∠BPC + ∠BPD = 180°.

So, ∠BPD is supplementary to ∠BPC.

Hence it is false statement.

Option C: It is congruent to ∠APC.

∠APC and ∠BPD are vertically opposite angles.

If two lines are intersect, then vertically opposite angles are congruent.

So, ∠BPD ≅ ∠APC.

Hence it is true statement.

Option D: It is linear to ∠APC.

∠APC and ∠BPD are not adjacent angles.

So they did not form a linear pair.

Hence it is false statement.

Therefore, option C is the correct answer.

∠BPD congruent to ∠APC.

Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

6.3

Step-by-step explanation:

You can find the distance with a distance formula (need the points and it has a big, long square root) BUT, when you have an image like this graph you can totally see a right triangle and use the Pythagorean Theorem (distance formula is derived from Pythagorean theorem anyway) see image
