The formular for efficiency = change in temprature/ initial temprature
change in temprature = 600 - 400 = 200
efficiency = 200/600 = 0.333 = 33.3%'

The correct answer to the question is 33.3 % i.e the efficiency of the engine is 33.3 %.

CALCULATION:

The steam enters a turbine at 600 K.

Hence, the temperature of the source T = 600 K.

The steam is exhausted at a temperature 400 K.

Hence, the temperature of the sink T' = 400 K

We are asked to calculate the efficiency of the engine.

The efficiency of a heat engine whose source is at temperature T K and sink at T' is calculated as -

                        efficiency \eta\ =\ 1-\frac{T'}{T}

                                             =\ 1-\frac{400\ K}{600\ K}

                                             =\ 1-\frac{2}{3}

                                             =\ \frac{1}{3}

                                             =\ 33.3\%             [ans]

Hence, the efficiency of the engine is 33.3 %.

The magnetic field at the earth's surface can vary in response to solar activity. During one intense solar storm, the vertical c
Natalka [10]

Answer:

EMF = 1684.67 Volts

Explanation:

As we know that EMF is induced in a closed conducting loop if the flux linked with the loop is changing with time

So we can say

EMF = \frac{d\phi}{dt}

now we have

\phi = BA

here since magnetic field is constant so we have

EMF = A\frac{dB}{dt}

now we have

A = (190 \times 10^3)(190 \times 10^3)

A = 3.61 \times 10^{10} m^2

now we have

EMF = 3.61\times 10^{10} (\frac{2.8 \times 10^{-6}T}{60 s})

EMF = 1684.67 Volts

Bernice draws an oxygen atom. She draws a small circle for the nucleus. Inside of the circle, she draws plus signs for protons a
Lelu [443]

Answer

It should be A and C

Explanation:

because oxygen is number 8 in the periodic table of elements and has a atomic weight of 15.999 you use those numbers to figure out what is true between those.

The 8 for oxygen goes for the number of electrons and proton and to find neutrons u round the 15.999 up which now make it 16 and subtract it by the 8 now you have 8 protons, 8 neutrons, and 8 electrons

Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

Explanation:

Let pressure at surface of earth be P Pa.

pressure at height of 8.1 km in air can be calculated as follows .

pressure due to column of air of 8.1 km height

= h d g , h is height , d is density of air and g is acceleration due to gravity

= 8.1 x 1000 x .87 x 9.8 = 6.9 x 10⁴ Pa .

pressure at the height of 8.1 km

= P - 6.9 x 10⁴ Pa

Pressure due to  column  of 16 m in the sea

= h d g

16 x 1000 x 9.8

= 15.68 x 10⁴ Pa .

Pressure at depth of 16m

= P + 15.68 x 10⁴

pressure difference between points at height of 8.1 km and pressure at point 16 m deep

=  P + 15.68 x 10⁴ -  P +  6.9 x 10⁴ Pa

= 22.58 x 10⁴ Pa .
